So, I opened up a Bible Belt today and shared with co-workers.
We opened a Bomb! that was great before hand.
The Bible Belt was awful. I loved this beer before, even more than bomb!
But, now it's tasting down right gross. I had to drain pour.
It has a metallic nose and taste plus, a taste I cannot describe. Even after letting it warm up.
When I got home, I opened up one other one to check it was not just that bottle.
Sure enough, that one even at cellar temp was gross.
I threw my last one in the fridge that I will open up tomorrow and check it out.
I've actually have had this metallic problem with BOMB! before. But, seemed the recent batches have not had this problem. Maybe because they are fresher they tasted great?
I'm guessing it's the caps like the rusty/oxidized problem before mentioned on here. I don't know.
    Input is appreciated. Thanks!

I had it for the first time in November. I thought it was strangely chalky at first, that threw me a bit; the mid palate and finish were pretty good, though, not even close to a drain pour for me.

I've yet to have this issue with BB.. It has always been delicious each and every time.. perhaps infected batch but I've yet to hear of anything

It wasn't sour or tart really, or yet.
But, it was not what I remembered for sure.
I tasted metallic and I didn't say anything to one co-worker and asked him his thoughts, he said it was like I had a penny in my mouth while drinking.
    Bummed.

The bottles are from OK that a friend brought back to me knowing I'm a beer geek and from OK as well. Plus, they were stored in my basement in proper conditions. Always a fan of these guys but, damn.

The first bomb I had was really off. It was nothing special and had no idea what the hype behind it was. It Also had this weird thick cream like build up on the inside of the bottle. I recently had it again and my mind was completely blown. Totally worthy of the hype. I'm assuming it's quality control issues of some sort.

Well Bomb was known to have some infection issues but no one has mentioned, to my knowledge, of infection issues concerning Bible belt. Both great beers in my eyes. Wish I had one in the fridge but one going in tonight for tomorrow's enjoyment

October a few friends had a bottle share. Bomb and Bible Belt were on the table. Everyone loved bomb more. Bible Belt tasted like chalk as said above.

Thanks to the replies so far folks.
I just hope the folks at Prairie can figure it out and produce consistent quality beer.

I thought it was pretty terrible when it was fresh.

I've been through a couple of cases purchased together upon its release without any issues yet. The three I opened last Friday at a tasting during a Christmas party were all great. Haven't noticed any off-putting flavors so far.

I've run into that super metallic taste before too. (Not with this beer)

    I'm with the infection camp.

What's up with Prairie Artisan and what seems like constant issue with infections?

Always thought this was overrated but definitely not worth dumping. Really chalky and bitter IMO.

Had one a couple months ago, was awesome as always. Hopefully your last bottle is a good one, OP.

It also makes me worried about the 5 Pirates and 4 Fred's I have in the cellar.
Those are great beers and I'd hate to drain pour those. Guess I will not sit on many, if any at all for too long.
Going to open the last one later today. I'll report back with the outcome.
