Big Name Moving to Phoenixville, PA...

    Depending on your definition of "Big Name", through some research of my own and tuned in sources... there are a few potential Brewers looking to locate either a new primary or secondary operation in downtown Phoenixville, which I'm assuming would come accompanied with some sort of brewpub/food thing to go along with it.....

    - Evil Genius
    - Weyerbacher
    - Chatty Monks
    - (Armstrong Ales is also looking to move into downtown...or more in town anyway..based on nothing but a hunch)

    Any other thoughts? Verify? Discredit? Additional Names I've not listed?

    I find that the POSSIBILITY that you could walk to Iron Hill, Stable 12, Possibly Armstrong Ales, Possibly one of the mentioned above, Sly Fox on the outskirts, throw in Bluebird Distillery for craft spirits...a pretty cool thing..

    chatty monks is still pretty new and expanding their current building in reading, so id be surprised to see them also expand to another location.

    Considering Armstrong Ales is going to announce its new location in a week or two, my bet is on them.

    I agree...but I also heard Armstrong Ales is also considering a different location within town (then the one in question I am speaking of)

    Also this could make sense because there is a website for the proposed location with a countdown that says.."something new is coming" the countdown stops around July 1st so I guess that meets your timeline..

    Though I hear its just a marketing ploy and the owners don't really know "whats coming" yet....I guess we'll find out soon!!

    Evil Genius would make sense. They've been looking for a new location for a while now. But there is also a craft distillery set to open soon in town. P-ville is making quite the comeback.

    Well (someone let me know in another thread of mine) turns out they did announce today..and turns out they are choosing Pottstown, which is making me soooooo exited!!! (And also narrows down the field for Phoenixville)

    How is Stable 12?

    P-ville is close to my parents' house, and my wife would be all over a Weyerbacher satellite. I would be all over drinking with high schoolers once the Canal Bar is resurrected.
