OK, Bigfoot has arrived (in the much talked about last year) 4 packs. So many people were upset about this happening. Most complaining about how the price would be going up. I paid the exact same case price $48 (15% savings on the case), as I did last year. How about you?

(I'm just hoping that the people who couldn't figure out how to cellar a 6 pack, have done so by now.)

The 4 pack is a bit difficult to cellar, always ends up in my mouth for some reason. Gonna pick up another pack and give it a try.

    Also, 8.99 for a 4 pack here.

11.99 4-pack in Springfield, IL. WAY Overpriced, but seeing as I just paid $20 for a 500mL BA Old Rasputin XV, I wasn't too worried about it.

I love Bigfoot Barleywine. It's just a brew I'll buy every single year. I actually Have 1 of the last 9 releases in my homemade cellar. I bought a 6 pk this time last year at $10.99 and recently seen the 2012 for $8.99. The store always has fresh beer but Bigfoot is one of those id buy 2-3 years old if I had the option. I just picked up 6 bottles of 2013 today. It was $9.99 for the 4 Pack and $2.50 each for the 2 extra. I knew even with the switching to 4 packs this year that the price would be about the same. I see on the 4 pack they label Bigfoot as a high latitude series with Hoptimum and now Narwhal. I like what SN are doing and I actually think beer as special as Bigfoot should be in 4 packs. Its just what craft brewers do. The year round stuff comes In six packs and the speciality stuff comes in 4s and or bombers. I don't mind paying a few more dollars for something like Bigfoot. Some people wont agree, but I've come to terms a long time ago that when you are talking the best beer in the world and even the best bourbon and scotch you pay for the quality. To think of something like Bigfoot as being an excellent value would be like me thinking I'll buy natural light over bud light or something like that. Neither of which I've ever bought, but my point is we don't drink craft beer bc it's more inexpensive than crap beer. We drink craft beer bc we thirst for the best, the world class, top shelf stuff. Same with bourbon. Sure, there are fine Kentucky bourbons less than $20, four roses yellow label and Beam Black 8 year come to mind around $20, but It's no Blantons or Single barrel stuff. And it's for sure no Pappy Van winkle 20 year. I'm okay with the SN switching to 4 packs concerning Bigfoot and largely it was due to they wanted to fit Bigfoot in with hoptimum and narwhal as their high latitude series.

It has gone from $32 a case here (2012) to $60 for the 2013. Or for me, from $64 a year to $0. From being an excellent value that I set my beer calendar by to just another a high profit margin pass.
