I noticed the pics on BA have Sierra Nevada bigfoot and Founder imperial stout with some twistoff bottle tops. Anybody else notice this? When did these breweries ever make twistoff tops?

SN wasn't too long ago, 2008 I think from the looks of my bigfoot bottles.

2008 was the last year SN used twist offs. I just had a 2008 Big Foot this year and the twist off allowed slightly more oxygen to enter the bottle. Ken Grossman explained that the '08 vintage had a greater complexity than the '09 due to this oxidization.

Pretty sure the last vintage with twist-off was 2007, and a quick look at my bottles seems to say the same thing. Maybe they had both in 2008?

I keep forgetting that Dieu du Ciel (Peche Mortel) uses twist offs and I have broken a few bottles over the years when prying off the caps...

More like 20x the O2, from SN data. Pry offs will oxidize, but it will take much longer.

They seem to have been aging a bit more gracefully since the switch. They used to turn pretty grassy/musty after 6-9 months if you left them out of the fridge.
