Bissell Brothers (2018)

HTFGATT is definitely too green. But I had a couple four packs of the first batch and it got much better after 2 weeks.

 

Big announcement coming? Have they already made a formal announcement about their Milo facility?

 

The Mrs and I are visiting Portland tomorrow - Sunday and plan on stopping by Bissell at some point. Not terribly interested in cans, though really looking to trying their offerings on draft. Cheers!

 

They tagged Aura and Tokyo Police Club on Instagram, and Songkick has Tokyo Police Club playing at Aura on December 9th. First and second anniversaries were both at concert venues with bands, so would seem their fourth anniversary is at Aura with Tokyo Police Club.

 

I'll be in Portland this weekend (Friday-Tuesday). What times should I get to the brewery for can releases (substance on Friday, baby genius on Saturday)? Any chance repirocal makes it to Friday? Do any Bars/beer stores in portland do growler fills?

Saturday: not sure if they're opening at 11 or 12, but within an hour of opening
some chance recip makes it to friday, it will be posted on instagram friday morning if there is
Growlers are not huge around here, austin street and foundation do them. Mostly cans/crowlers.

Anyone have any insight on what the 4 year anniversary party will be like? I expected something beer related, but the announcement doesn't say anything other than listing bands. It kind of just looks like a regular club show with no obvious connection to BB. I don't get it.

 

We're HUGE fans of Tokyo Police Club here at Bissell Brothers, so we invited them to Portland for a show at Aura, an awesome venue here in town. The bar at Aura will be loaded with Bissell Brothers beer, and it'll be a diverse and killer taplist with some special kegs for sure. Plenty of great beers to be enjoyed! The beer is the connection to Bissell, with a killer concert and party for those who attend...

 

Thanks for clarifying Mike! I kind of figured there had to be a bunch of Bissell taps or something, but I wasn't clear from the event page. Sounds like a fun night!

 

Latest batch of Nothing Gold just steller.... estery/overripe fruit juice followed by a real pleasant tart bite. Right now my favorite BB brew.

Hey everyone! I will be visiting Portland for Beer Meets Wood. I am hoping to snag the Berliner beer on Saturday. I heard Bissell releases aren't too crazy but with a new beer could it change? Should I expect long lines?

 

Seed tends to generate a huge line -- one of the few beers they have lowered allotments on based on turnout. Given it's a yearly release and extra people will be in town for Zwanze and Beer Meets Wood... I would suggest arriving early.

 

Never had Bissell before but have a trip planned for first weekend of November, anyone have an idea if this batch will last til then? On IG they described it as "an XL batch"

 

The first batch of Swish for the season will, without a doubt, sell out the day it is released. Batch size doesn't matter.

They have not yet published the release schedule for October/November, so there may well be more Swish canned on the weekend you are in town. At the very least, it will be on draft when you're around.
