Yall. I went there twice within 3 days when i was in town for business. It was incredible. Great marketing/branding with the whole religious/beer themes. Excellent intro into belgian beers. Great prices at the brewery for a very large sampler of 8 beers, and a great beer atmosphere. Dont miss out on their new POTUS 44 (the obama) that is a thick coffee porter brewed with Kenyan and Hawaiian coffees. Excellent.

I must second this post. Met one of the owners at a tap takeover in January. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Beer is great as well!

Still haven't visited the brewery/taproom. Need to make that a Saturday priority ASAP. Thanks for the reminder!

Yes, Black Abbey is a fantastic brewery. Knew it from the moment I tried them out at the first Winter Warmer.

Went this past Saturday with a big group and had a blast. They had a POTUS 44 that was aged in Dickle barrels and folks enjoyed it. Also had a Wicket Gate (stout) in Dickle barrels. Highlights for me was Chapter House and The Champion.

Can't get the barrel aged stuff in growlers to-go, only on tap in the tasting room. Everything else can be had in growlers.

I have had acetaldehyde spikes that were less noticeable than the amount of aa in the pint of "Special" I had.
