Booths Supermarket

    I am a Yorkshireman making a raid over the Pennines on Thursday for work and will be passing through Penrith, where there is a Booths supermarket.

    I've read that Booths have a great selection of beers, many of which I won't have tried before. I will be able to pull in, run round for 10 minutes then get out on company time, so don't have time to browse as I would like to.

    So: those in the know, what 5 or 6 beers should I pick up, based on their quality, value and hard-to-get-ability compared to Morrisons, Asda, Tesco, etc.

    A mixed bag:

    Duvel Tripel Hop
    Weihenstephan Vitus
    Fruh Kolsch
    Wild Beer Co Somerset Wild
    St Peters Brewery Old Style Porter
    Rudgate Brewery Chocolate Stout
    Founders Dry Hop Pale Ale

    and then I bought the three Hardknott beers from Morrisons!

    Selection in Booths was great and I would like to go back if possible. Also, lots of good beers included in a 4 for £6 deal at Morrisons.

    Tripel Hop and Vitus are def winners. Somerset Wild is no slouch either.

    Nice selection. Not sure where in Yorkshire you are but there's a Booths in Ripon if you're ever over that way....
