Hi All- I'm visiting Boston for the first time at the end of September, and hoping to get some thoughts to build out an itinerary. Any places I need to visit, or things I needs to do (beer or non-beer related). Already going to Fenway on Sat 9/27, and am staying just SW of Fenway by the Longwood Galleria. Also planning on hitting up the Sam Adams brewery, but would love to know what other breweries, bars, restaurants, activities I should hit up while I'm there. Appreciate your thoughts!

Trillium Brewery, Lord Hobo, if you are going to have a car then get out to Jacks Abby, and a bit further but worth it TreeHouse

Saturday's game on the 27th is still TBD but Boston Beer Works right next to the stadium is a great place to head before the game, and as someone else said Sunset Grille in Allston is a great spot, 2 miles ($8 Cab Ride) away from Fenway. If you're in town for the whole weekend Trillium is down town near the touristy spots and the Night Shift Brewery is just outside of the city limits as well.

The Yard House is right near the stadium. 100 beers on tap if not more, good food too

Personally I'd say stay away from Yard House or BBW. Nothing wrong with them just not all that exciting. Sunset Grille and Lord Hobo are the beer spots. Close to where you're staying there is the Squealing Pig which has a decent draft selection and great food. Also Penquin has great (cheap) pizza and awesome beer selection. If you're trying to take home some beer, Trillium is worth the trip to fort point, likely 45 minutes by T from where you are staying. Sam Adams is fun but Harpoon is much better but you will need a car. As stated above if you have a car Jack's Abby is an awesome place to visit.

Citizen Public House right next to Fenway is a decent spot for some beers and they have one of the best whiskey lists in the city, if you're into that.

If you are staying near Longwood then you could easily get to the Publick House by taking the Green Line. Easily one of the best beer bars around.
When going to Sam Adams check out Brendan Behan, Canary Square, Vee Vee and Streetcar nearby. Sam Adams has been selling interesting small batch stuff in growlers at the gift shop.

I'd recommend Deep Ellum over sunset. Smaller but better thought out beer list and food that is actually meant to be consumed by adults as opposed to 40 different variations on a pile of fried cheese covered whatever.

Don't forget the publick house in Brookline. Get the Mac and cheese, fo realz.

I was up in Boston in the spring for the first time and hit Night Shift Brewing and Lord Hobo, among others. Would recommend them both.
