Any word on when the next FO release will be? I'm assuming it'll be after Iridium? Anyone know?

Thoughts on Iridium Flare? From anyone who tried it at Week of Logic.

 

Found it a bit too sweet, maybe too much mead was blended; almost candy like.
But yet again I'm not familiar with mead.

Also who knows if it was a completely finished batch, just like their FO variants during WoL.

 

i think its been previously confirmed that the kegs poured at the week of logic and the bruery anniversary party are unfinished versions of the bottle beers

 

thoughts are it's with superstition meadery, it's going to get stupid to get some

You mean like half the beers they sell that week? Any FO, FS, and a handful of other beers are not final versions. They are preview versions.

 

In my opinion, the beer itself is finished before it even goes in the barrel. The aging just hasn't finished yet... but I guess you're getting into semantics at that point.

 

I have no problem with them doing this, as long as they let you know it's just a preview and it is unfinished, which I believe they do.

 

I beleive that giving us previews of their beers is Cool as Fuc. Who else does that?

 

Alesmith, but they also put on the finished version of the beer prior to the sale.

I'm a fan of marion berries so I'll be getting at least one just because of that.

You stand corrected. Srsly, the preview pours were definitely the best thing about WoL other the beer itself, IMO.

By the way, so if IF is "mead-inspired strong ale," what are the percentages of each. What exactly will we be quaffing, I wonder. I don't mean to braggot, but that's some seriously tasty brew.

 

Eureka Burger HB is having a raffle for bottles of Fundamental Summation, for the price of $45 a bottle, with any 1 purchase of a bottle logic beer on tap. Given the trade value, its worth it, but I wouldn't be trading this bottle away, even thought I probably wont even enter.

 

So wait, is it, buy a BL beer on tap and get entered into the raffle and then if you win, the bottle costs $45?

I assume I figured that out correctly since your statement almost made it seem like $45 ticket + BL beer to be entered into a raffle.

 

Anyone else having trouble buying their guaranteed bottle of iridium flare? Eventbrite keeps saying it cant connect to the server.

Their IG says that the majority of the batch was racked into barrels.

 

You beat me to it! They said it should be ready after a year or so of aging. Looking forward to trying the aged version at the next WoL.

Got 3 iridium. Not sure about the Honey, but i will give it a shot.

That was easy. One of my favorite beers from WoL easily. Haven't tried the low fill bottles, hopefully I can swing by today.

 

Spent 3 minutes on the phone app with continual "server error- retry" messages. Switched to Chrome on Windows 10 and ordered 3 no problem. Haven't had problems with phone on any of the past 4 or 5 sales.

 

Easy money.

 

Rather huge mead fan, but not a fan of BL potentially destroying a good mead.

 

Yeah the app behaves terribly when there is tons of traffic. Still managed to get three.

 

IF was my fave of the WoL, above JtR and FO variants.

 

Rather doubt with BL's track record for superlative blending that they'll chump this one.

For those that purchased bottles I do hope so...I am just skeptical in that it would be overly sweet and basically not fit a braggot style.

Granted I also dropped a couple hundred yesterday getting 6 more bottles of PBJ Crime from Superstition....so I got my mead fix covered for a little while.

 

Completely forgot this one. Glad it was still on sale 40 minutes later.

 

It needs to sell out, keep telling myself 2 bottles is enough.
