Hey all. I'll be visiting Orlando early July and would like to know where I can get some craft beer in Orlando. I'll be staying near the convention center.

    Thanks in advance.

Best bottle shop: Knightly Spirits (12975 South Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, FL) - 15 mins from Conv. Center.
Best beer bar: Redlight Redlight (745 Bennett Road, Orlando, FL) - 26 mins from Conv. Center

If you're near the convention center, the best bottle shop is Knightly Spirits for sure like Braineater said. What's a little closer to the convention center for a bar is House of Beers (13526 Village Park Dr Orlando, FL). That's a great bar in South Orlando. If you hit up Knightly Spirits, it's about a mile from there. Redlight Redlight is a must stop place though. They are moving soon, so they may not still be on Bennett Road when you get to Orlando. Double check their address when you get here on Facebook or on their website. Oblivion Taproom is a great spot if you want some food in addition to beer. They have, I think, about 40 craft beer taps and some bottles as well.

If the people you are with want to do downtown at all (a lot of non-craft beer drinkers do), I can tell you some cool spots to get good craft beer going. I work at Tap & Grind downtown. We have 16 taps with usually two or three from Cigar City. We don't really have a bottle selection unless something special is going on. Right now, we have Cascade Sang Noir in bottles. Let me know if you want more details.

Does Knightly or Total Wine have SN or The Vine right now?

Screwed up the reply by deleting some of your post DanDraft.

Was wondering if any stores in Orlando have Sang Noir or The Vine right now? Thanks.

If anyone had it, it would be knightly. Every bottle of cascade I've seen in a store has been there. I am only aware of sang noir making to central Florida though. I haven't heard of anyone getting the vine. I've never seen any cascade at total wine on east colonial. Doesn't mean they don't have it, but I haven't seen it and I check their sour selection regularly.

Most importantly, thanks for what you did to my username. I think it's a noticeable improvement.

Ha! Didn't even notice that. You have to buy that username from me now, I own the domain rights.

I'm off to Orlando tomorrow for a week. I'm staying in a house in northern Davenport just off 4 to the far southwest of orlando. This looks like beer hell. What's my best bet within 10 miles? Publix? any better options for drinks at night or bottle shops.

:slight_frown: I was really excited for my new username.
Just make the drive to at least knightly spirits and stock up on bottles. I am not sure about bars in that area. Knightly Spirits is probably 20 miles from where you are.
