This kind of got lost in the Terra Incognita hoopla last week.

Boulevard off-handedly announced the impending 2013 release of Saison-Brett on their Facebook page.

"We put our brewmaster on camera today and asked him to describe the 2013 Saison-Brett, which just happens to be hitting shelves in less than 2 weeks." (posted May 9th, 2013)

Looks like we'll be seeing this years batch next Tuesday, which is the typical Boulevard release day.

This is my favorite saison and one of my favorite beers period. Can't wait!

Side note: Boulevard is offering free shipping from their online store today only with the code ACBW!

I've seen some of 2012 around me but I didn't pick any up. Looks like I'm going to have to grab some, I've been reading nothing but good things about this brew. I've also been on a brett kick lately so I'm sure that this will satisfy that. Can't wait for this.

I had some of the 2012 and it was really satisfying. I don't think it was ever distributed in NC, but hopefully the 2013 will be. And count on me having a bottle or two.

It looks like my lunch break will be at the liquor store that day. I know it doesn't sell out instantly but I couldn't imagine missing out on a few bottles. Soo good.

    Fell off how?

I've got '11 and '12 bottles that I plan on opening later this month for a 3 year vert.

You think this will reach distro out here? I know the rest of their lineup does, i just thought this one might not be. I really do love this Saison. It would be nice to pick up a few for the summer at my local!

Picked up a bottle of 2012 (bottled 5-21-12) last week that was part of cellar release from one of my local shops. Thinking about popping it open this weekend.

Read a thing with brewers notes that said max age time on Saison Brett is 2-3 years here:

    http://draftmag.com/cellar/2012-boulevard-saison-brett-aging-tips/

had one fresh and it was killer, have two more sitting and I will definitely grab some 2013 and open a 2012 & 2013 together. Excited about this release, and right after Love Child two of my favorites back to back!

2012 is drinking real good right now -lots of brett. One of the brewers said he will age it (at most) up to 18 months if I remember the conversation right.

I happened across a bottle today in Mansfield TX. Got it... may let it age a bit before popping the cork.

I still see it in Boston stores with prices ranging from $12.99 to $15.99. Not my personal favorite at any of those prices. I hit 12 stores between Saturday and Tuesday and half of them had it on the shelves, although the supplies are clearly running low. Spotted a couple of Rye-on-Rye as well. But that seems to be all for the Smokestack Series.

This used to be my favorite saison. Most of you will think I'm odd, but it's not anymore, due to the heavy hop presence. It used to be more traditional and very mildly hopped last time I had it in 2008 or 9. I like a traditional saison. Either that or my palate has really changed. I'm not happy with their tank 7 for the same reason, though I think that has always been liberally hopped. Still love a number of their beers, just not their saisons anymore.
