Boulevard Saison-Brett (2013)

It's all good, if I had a case I would have drank it by now too.

 

I have some Rye On Rye left from each vintage. We could work out a trade.

 

I happened across a bottle today in Mansfield TX. Got it... may let it age a bit before popping the cork.

 

I still see it in Boston stores with prices ranging from $12.99 to $15.99. Not my personal favorite at any of those prices. I hit 12 stores between Saturday and Tuesday and half of them had it on the shelves, although the supplies are clearly running low. Spotted a couple of Rye-on-Rye as well. But that seems to be all for the Smokestack Series.

 

This used to be my favorite saison. Most of you will think I'm odd, but it's not anymore, due to the heavy hop presence. It used to be more traditional and very mildly hopped last time I had it in 2008 or 9. I like a traditional saison. Either that or my palate has really changed. I'm not happy with their tank 7 for the same reason, though I think that has always been liberally hopped. Still love a number of their beers, just not their saisons anymore.
