The next release in Boulevard's fantastic new Imperial Stout "X" series is Tart Cherry Stout. "This edition spotlights the addition of tart cherries in fermentation, as well as lactic souring on the brewhouse," which sounds like a winner to me. I love sour, fruited stouts and I'm sure with Boulevard's expertise in both stouts and sours, this will be a great beer. As with the others, this will clock in at 11%abv and will be packaged in 750ml corked and caged bottles. Look for Tart Cherry Stout to start hitting shelves in September.
