Binny's on Grand got it in. They're only giving out to who's on the list. $21.99

 

The owner of this store cares nothing about his customers, only maximizing his profit. He is always terribly overpriced on hyped beers, but this brings his douchbagery to a whole other level. What really sucks is this is the closest liquor store to me that gets good craft brews, and its run by a real asshole.

Would Goose Island care to hear that one of the stores that sells their products gouges the price by nearly double?

Careful lest this thread goes from just a bunch of guys letting everyone know where the BCS is to a 10 page argument on basic supply and demand, the rights of a business owner to price however he likes and the and the definition of gouging.

I just tweeted this out (The places <cough> Foremost Liquors <cough> that are charging up to $44.99 for @GooseIsland #BCBS should get their distribution pulled.) and its been retweeted 4 times (over 3100 people on Twitter)...don't know how much Goose will pay attention to it but I felt like it had to be brought to someone's attention.

 

Notice how I never used the word gouging, nor did I dispute his right to do whatever he likes with the beer. I am merely voicing my displeasure with his choice. I am certain that due to the demand for this beer he will sell out even at $45 a 4-pack; I just wish that somehow people would resist the temptation and maybe next time around he will rethink his pricing strategy. #wishfulthinking

 

This fits the definition of the term. It is not against the law, just terrible business practice.

Price gouging is a pejorative term referring to a situation in which a seller prices goods or commodities much higher than is considered reasonable or fair.

I was there around 11am and there were four cases on the floor. The beer guy said they got 30 cases total and those were the first ones out. Crazy but I think you'll be good.

They are also taking IDs and writing down your name and address. Then they cross check against everyone who has come in to make sure you are not muling your wife, life partner, etc...

 

All this talk of rape... wait until Capone's gets some BCBS

 

Yesterday, Riverside Liquors told me when they get BCBS it will be a min. $50 purchase before you can buy a 4pk!

The dude at Evolution Bucktown is seriously pissed about having to sell this beer all day. He was b!tching and moaning, and I was like, I'm not giving you a hard time, am I? And he was like, no, then continued to b!tch and moan. Ah, Chicago guys. 2btl limit there.

 

These are the type of stores/asshole factories that I hate more than the ones upcharging for a single 4-pack/bottle. I can't believe people actual abide by those "rules" and make that purchase.

What are you talking about.. according to their Beer Menus page, they've had the 2009 in stock for months now. They have problems trying to move all their sought after beers...

 

It was $15 something for two bottles after tax. Dude was seriously pissed, haha! Go give him hell.

got a four pack from cardinal and vas (logan, not kedzie). super happy. i think some of the smaller stores i hit might be getting some next week, but that'll just be gravy.
