4 cases left at 4pm, $21.99 limt 1 4 pack. Have to ask for MR but no list $16.99
My buddy got a growler of the 2012 at a place in Oak Creek, WI for $22. Crazy.
I tried one, its was great!
someone else is saving me another four pack, while this is only about 2 blocks from me, hoping someone else can enjoy it. have at it folks.
BTW, how much was the MR?
MR is one i want to hang on to, a couple or a few /barely hoarding.
On Grand sorry I am on my crappy work phone.
No worries. Thanks.
Road trip to Oak Creek? We leave in an hour
All this talk about the "hows" of getting it. Enough of the chase, how's this years stack up?
So this confirms that BCBS is arriving in waves. Binnys on Grand got a bunch of cases Friday, sold out, and now have been restocked within a week. This is comforting to hear. People need not freak out, sounds like there will be enough to go around.
ISO: drop shipped case - fedex early am delivery.
Sounds similar to the staggered Lolita/Juliet release waves.
Oh, and Plainfield Binny's got 15 cases in today. 4 pack per person.
it's great. i started last night with a 2012 kbs, madame rose, then this years bcbs (freedom of 78 was my night cap)
you can definitely taste and smell the (good) boozyness. BCBS didn't have any it to it (not a bad thing) explosion of chocolate.
Now who's going to believe that!
You'll have to go to a different thread for that.
Everybody should remember that GI said they had 10X as much coming to Illinois.
It can't all be delivered at once. Before long you might have to choose between
Christmas/Holiday gifts and that four-pak of GI BCBS!
Maybe I'll do that. But I'll wait until I have some in my itchy hands - no need to ramp up the hype even more until I can score a little.
whole foods schaumburg has it, you must ask the lady behind the cheese counter. 22/4
BOOZY , and very thick. I notice the booze a lot more in this one. However, there is a lot of flavor in the background. pretty good i would say.
Gentelman and ladies, check your local Dominicks. Found a few 4 packs at mine. $23.99/ 4 pack. They were in the cooler-weird but oh well
Tabbs on Rockwell and Chicago $23.99...just got one and they had plenty still
I was in Walgreens in the West Loop and they had ddba, Brux, rev beers and some others. So I thought, hmmmm wonder any way they would get bcbs? So far I haven't seen any.
Ahh, thats comforting. Who said the BCBS days of 2009 are gone?
For info, this has turned into a purchase raffle it seems.
lame. saved me a 10 min. drive though.
What you mean??
Leave your name & number for a drawing to purchase BCBS. From a prior post it seems they were selling it but it's now a raffle.
Good on GI for stepping up the production this year. After having to drive to Chicago just to pick up 2 bottles last year, I was able to pick up three 4-packs without much trouble. I don't see myself needing any more than that.
Not getting hassled, not getting hustled. Good Times.
Just bought a 4pack at cardinal in Schaumburg. $22 per 4 pack. Limit 1
BCS on at Tap House Grill Highwood. $12/12 oz. Assuming it's 2011... they got it today but say it had no date on the keg
Still 3+ cases on the floor at vas foremost, also there were 4 4-packs of BCS vertical. 2009, 2010, 2011, & 2012 but $50 was too steep for me.
They have (had?) bombers of 2009 for $22 as well.
From a conversation this evening, sounds like any BCS kegs arriving now would be 2012. Which makes sense: why would GI or a distributor sit on a 2011 keg since June?
I'm encouraged by that, because what I had tonight tasted not much different than any pour I've had in the past three months. Which is to say, it tasted fantastic.
It doesn't look like I'll be running into any BCS tomorrow in Indiana, huh? Maybe I can make a stop back through south Chicago on my way home.
Anyone know where I can get a 1/6th of BCBS? Myself, lookitsmp, and jordanblaskey (all BA names) are having our 3rd annual TomHanksGiving (bottleshare/drink-a-thon) this year, and after passing on a 1/6th of it at $225 last year we decided we could spring for it this time.
Anyone who provides pertinent info will receive a definite invite (Wilmington, IL). Bottles currently on the list to be shared (along with the BCBS keg) include: '11 Brandy Vanilla DL, '12 Bourbon Vanilla DL, '12 Bourbon DL, B2 Chocolate Rain, Black Note, Abacus (the real Abacus), BA Hi-Fi, BT, and others.
Standard Market in Westmont had 2 cases sitting out. Didn't appear there was any limit. $23.99 a 4 pack.
