Yes, I'm very cool because I've gave many bottles away. Either when I have tastings and crack open like 20 bottles at once to share with everyone or when I give them out for free as extras and I do a lot of trading or when I raffle bottles out for free.

I thought it was because GI thinned down the channels to expand distribution or because they don't give Chicago as much as they did or because craft beer popularity has risen. Maybe you spend too much time online instead of putting in work to get BCBS or maybe you should try trading. Just don't be mad. If you want I will sale you some like I did to my local BAs that missed out. :-)

Thanks for reminding me of what I own. The amount of bottles total that I have is still probably less than what you have tied up in just one brand. Almost everything on my gots, I only have one bottle of. I'm not trying to start anything and I'm sure you are a good guy. I'm sure all of us could be accused of hoarding at one time or another and especially by an outsider. It just rubs me the wrong way when I see someone post multiple cases of beers that most of us were only able to get a single bottle of if we were lucky. Also, if you didn't buy so much maybe the other BAs wouldn't have missed out and been forced to buy some from you.

John, I would trust a BA over a store to distribute beer. Some stores play the favorites game and keep it in back without letting anyone know its there, even when you ask. He is openly saying on the forum he will be more than happy to trade and often gives them away.

Speaking of which, stoutfest I was shut out this year...I would love to get a bottle (or 2 would be even better) in a trade. BM me if you are interested.

I was wondering where all the 2011 went. Let me know if you wanna get rid of one of those vanillas.

That's great and all but from guys like us who got locked out of KH and managed to get a few singles of 2011 BCS from multiple stores, that's a real slap in the face to see stuff like that. And trading requires that I'd have to have gotten some stuff equally as good, and if I couldn't even get BCS than still doesn't help us out. That is all.

There were multiple stores that had CASES of rare lying around. A few people I know bought a case each. Ramiro might not be your cup of tea, but he went from store to store to store for 2 days straight to get what he got. He is also generous with his beer. Last year at his annual stoutfest he opened a 05-rare BCBS vertical. Lets not even mention the multiple DL verts including the Barrel Treatments and Growlers of Vanilla. Guy may have a shit ton of bourbon county, but it gets drank.

EDIT - I also hit a few honey holes and got myself 2 cases of vanilla on first release. So it was certainly possible.

I find it funny that he takes that many pictures of beer posing them in different positions.

Ain't that how it goes? Well it's out at Poor Phil's, but still on at Tap House Grill in Highwood. I understand sixth-barrels went to several Chicago-area bars last week, a few of which tapped it, most of which are sitting on it for now.

I got a single bottle of Bramble and a single bottle of Coffee from a store in Normal when I was back in Feb. Stoutfest hooked me up with two bottles of KH in a trade and was quite generous to throw in a BCBS as a bonus. My extras were not worthy!!

I ended up purchasing somewhere between 6 and a case of the Rare myself. And I'm in Colorado where it never came. Just had to do a little digging and all.

I traded for two four packs of BCBS from a BAer in Indiana. He had no problem getting multiples of it where he was at.

There's some serious jealousy and entitlement going on in thus thread. Any of us would kill to have that much of those beers so why shit on the guys who bought them?

I'm pissed off because it isn't even distributed in my area.

Maybe, but I'm just burnt out of the chase. A lot of people blame ebay, I blame pictures like that more. We all have our pet peeves and a lot are different from others. Either way, I've said my peace and like I've said in other posts - just because I disagree with a lot of you on this doesn't mean I wouldn't raise a glass with you or StoutFest.

Anyone see BCBS in MKE yet?
