Like 'em or not they're they're coming back on the Esquire Network again. First show is going to be in New Orleans.

I enjoyed the last series for the entertainment value more than the beer education, and am looking forward to seeing which cities they will be visiting.

I was wondering if they were one and done with that first season, glad to hear their coming back for more episodes. They may be pretty ridiculous, but they are very entertaining and I enjoy their interactions with the brewers.

Wish there were less gimmicks but I watch every show.

Part of me likes the show just because it actually deals with craft beer and it's otherwise non existent on tv. But a lot of it just seems kitchy, the gimmicks like Robtobfest mentioned are just infuriating. For BAs like us, there isn't much to learn per se, but it's nice seeing beer on tv.

For one reason or another, I was unable to watch the original airings. Thank goodness for "on demand"! Some of it may seem cliched or contrived, but it's still pretty cool, nonetheless. I am glad there is finally another show, besides Beer Geeks, about a topic I love.

I really would have liked to have seen how far Brew Masters would have gone.

When was the first season of this show? I thought it was odd I had never heard of it until I started seeing commercials for the second season recently. Maybe we didn't always get the Esquire channel if that is what it has always been on. I do watch Beer Geeks though every Saturday and am curious to see this as well.

Pretty good show...love the countdwons and the local stuff about each city/state they visit more than the actual beer they brew though. Makes me wish they hadn't cancelled Drinking Made Easy......

I enjoyed the show, but mainly because it was about beer. I think the show would improve if they focused more on the beer and less on how crazy of a way they can BREW the beer (floating down a river, using the sun, on a train, etc).

I'll plan on watching the second season

Unrelated but love the Ron Swanson avatar -
“Ron Swanson: And I’ll have the number 8.
Waiter: That’s a party platter. It serves 12 people.
Ron Swanson: I know what I’m about son.”

I assume this show is their prime source of revenue, since I ---and apparently no one else on BA--- buys their beers.

Now they are saying that the kick-off show next week will be at Fullsteam Brewing in Durham. Are these guys flaky as much as they are quirky?

I think the show does a pretty decent job of appeasing us beer jerks and entertaining the uneducated. People must be watching it because Esquire renewed it.

I think if you asked them, they would admit some of the beers they've brewed for the show are a bit contrived, but they're pretty funny, theyre entertaining and they do a decent job of mentioning some beers you're not expecting and the top 5 lists are a nice touch.

I'll be watching, beer in hand.

Not sure if this was posted elsewhere, but my buddy was at rare barrel last week and this was in the window.[IMG]

I had a ton of fun when they filmed at Fullsteam. I wouldn't say flaky -- they're too sharp and quick-witted to be flaky. Quirky is subjective. I think we're all a little quirky.

Ask me a question if you'd like! The crew filmed in the early spring and it was really cold out. Seems strange to reflect on it (and see our lack of greenery) on this, the first day of summer.

Pretty much sums up my feelings as well. There is a distinct lack of craft beer presence in the mainstream so I'll pretty much take what I can get, even if it is pretty goofy and doesn't necessarily portray craft beer as I know it in the most appropriate way.
