I'll be heading up to MI tonight with some pals for the KBS release party and I was wondering if there are any nice breweries to stop at on the way. I will be coming from the Chicago suburbs.

Greenbush and The Livery are both must stops if you are going to make the time. Paw Paw is also a decent idea.

In Michigan if you are taking 94 to 96 to 196...

    Greenbush (Sawyer)
    The Livery (Benton Harbor)
    Saugatuck Brewing Co. (Saugatuck)
    New Holland Brewing Co. (Holland)
    White Flame (Hudsonville)

In Grand Rapids there are a few other Breweries:
Harmony - Haven't made it there yet myself, just opened

Of those listed on the way, I'd stop at Greenbush, the Livery and NHBC. Vivant and HopCat are must stops in Grand Rapids.

Three Floyds of course! Though I am sure you are aware of that. Also I would stop in at Shoreline Brewery in Michigan City, IN. If you are lucky they may have one of their barrel aged beers on tap, as they are just about to be released in bottles.

If you take I-90, Shoreline might be one to add to the list. Really depends on what they've got tapped.

I keep hearing about Figure 8 but I have yet to make my way out there.
