    From their website:

Our very first packaged beer release!

Roselle, our greatly anticipated, rosé-inspired ale, has been six months in the making. It’s brewed with champagne yeast and hibiscus, aged over cherries, grapefruit zest, and raspberries, then blended with a touch of our house sour culture.

Stop by the restaurant to pick up some bottles, plus 16 ounce cans of Till, our bright and tangy farmhouse ale, and Grove, our sunny, citrusy double IPA. As a special treat, the bar will be open from noon to 3 pm, so you can stick around and have a pint. Limit two bottles of Roselle ($18 each), two 4-packs of Till ($10 each) , and two 4-packs of Grove ($16 each).

Intrigued by the Rose beer, kinda crazy that it's so high abv. Definitely want to get some cans of both the other ones.

I think they were originally shooting for it to be 14% and apologized for falsely advertising that lol.

Ugh why do I have to work at Duke, it's so far away from Tasty. But I'll also be flying out for Austin tomorrow morning. I'm just going to cross my fingers that they don't sell out and some float around next week.

Grove went fairly quick - $18.something/4-pack. Till was around $12. I think Tasty had maybe 4-5 cases of each. Excited to crack some cans later on!

Did you try any of the sours?

Just the Amaranthus (dark sour with berries), which was pretty good. Kinda Flanders-ish. The bar was packed and I had to get home, so I only got the one half pour.

There was plenty yesterday as of close to 2 pm. I would say close to 30 cases of each still at the Brewery.

Side note-was surprised at the $20/bottle of Roselle. I didn't personally buy one, but a friend of mine did. I know the ABV is high, just seemed a little steep especially selling straight form the brewery and not marked-up at the bottle shops.

Damn. Is that a 500mL bottle as well for $20?

    Ouch.

I have enjoyed most of their stuff on draft, but it's not revolutionary or anything. Just ho-hum decent beer. Nothing I am going to go out and pay $20 for just over a pint of.

Is the Rose beer on tap there?

They mentioned in a post a sour release next Sunday.

I asked the lady who was doing the can/bottle check-out about it being on tap and she stated they were never putting it on tap due to the "high alcohol content". Again, seemed excessive. That's why 10 oz pours were created...however, I saw tasty bev had it on tap last Friday so honestly I'm not so sure this associate knew what she was talking about.

I can't imagine she knew what she was talking about, they do 10oz pours of the Foeder-Aged Imperial Stout and that's 11.5% (and pretty tasty).

    Event this weekend:

The price for this sour is more attractive imo. Might actually attend this.

May be closer to 30-40 minutes, but if you have the time, I would.

If you have time, just try to get a reservation at the "mother restaurant" Bida Manda, much better food for the price IMHO.

So they have separate menus and kitchens? I ate at Bida Manda a year or 2 ago, I was under the impression that the brewery opened as part of the restaurant.

The roselle bottles are $18, not $20.

Different menus. There is a little overlap and you can tell they're related, but Bhavana is more dim sum oriented while BM is more entree, full dish type menu. Both great, but BM is one of my favorite restaurants in town.

Drinking at the sweet bar at Bhavana and then eating at BM is the ideal move for me, but not always possible if you have a group, kids, etc.

Ah gotcha, sounds like Mekong/The Answer here in Richmond, although the food at Bida Manda is light years better than Mekong.

Although no knocking the food at the Answer or Mekong, both damn good, Bida Manda is very differently oriented.

I'm not sure how they're canning but when I went to pick up a bottle of magnifara two weeks ago they had quite a bit of both Grove and Till.
