What comes to mind is Bear Republic:

    Red Rocket Ale
    Big Bear Black Stout
    Racer 5
    Hop Rod Rye

I seem to remember paying maybe $6 or less for any of these.

    Your brewery of choice?

Lagunitas Hop Stoopid is widely regarded as the best deal in a Bomber. I would through La Fin Du Monde in the ring as well. I have seen both as low as $3.99 a bottle before.

Definitely- at least a buck cheaper.

Lagunitas and Stone. Both of them price their bombers very well. I just bought a Hop Stoopid a couple of days ago for $4.99.

Pipeworks! Easily. The top bomber is 13.99 for an imperial Russian. Not only that, the things for 9.99 and 8.99 are all rated by users in the 90s. All quality stuff. Stouts to ipas to berliner to belgian. Never feel guily buying

If Smuttynose made bombers of their regular releases at a price-point relative to to their sixer prices, it would be Smutty. If those prices were relative to their 12-pack prices, there would be no question.

At 22 oz... compared to the average 6-pack, none of these presents any sort of savings. Quite the contrary. I really don't get this whole sub-culture. Is it for people who don't own a refrigerator?

Lagunitas, Stone, Bear Republic, all from CA. Don't forget Cali-Belgique @ $4ish and Big Bear Black Stout at $5.
New Belgium has cheap, good bombers pop up occasionally. I've never seen La Fin du Monde for $4, but I'd buy a case at that price.

Agree with migwell above, I go for 6ers (or 4pk) when possible.
