When looking at a brewery's website what are you usually searching for? Tap lists, beer information, brewery hours, etc.

    Everything above and merchandise.

I've ordered some beer glasses from a couple breweries online. I've thought about ordering some posters, but until I have a dedicated beer drinking cave, that probably won't happen.

Local breweries or breweries I plan to visit: tap lists, food menu, merchandise. Maybe tour hours.

Out of state breweries that I like: distribution/new beer release info, merchandise.

I usually look at the website to check the hours and to see what is currently available on tap and/or to take home.

Also, events calendars for special releases/events and sometime check for food availability/options.

Always a plus when the site displays nicely on a smart phone.

Does anyone remember the name of the brewery that had the website that would take you to this if you answered "no" on the "are you 21?" question?

I don't use websites often, but when I do it's looking for business hours, and usually because the hours were not found on Facebook.

haha - made me think of the snarky answer: To get pissed off at a computer carding me.

But really, I usually go for taproom hours. But, a close second is to find information about a beer for adding, updating, or reviewing a beer. It's nice to have a reference for the BA team if I do supply a change.

I like finding out the history of the breweries and some biographical info on the principals involved. Getting info about their beer is easily available from multiple sources.

Most of the time it's beer information and/or information about the brewery. I seldom need to use a website to find out brewery hours and/or tap lists for places local to me.

If I am visiting the brewery, the tap list and hours of operation.

If I am not visiting the brewery, I am looking for limited glassware or tin signs.

I look what's on tap some, but mainly I check to see the carry out options. FFF, for example, is local and I only check to see what's available at the kiosk before I go to pick up because it's always changing.

I'm looking for what's available and hours. I'm continuously amazed by the number of breweries that go to the trouble and expense of building a website but don't bother to update what they have for sale.

I want to see the complete collection of beers that are year-round, seasonal, and occasional. One brewery website that really frustrates me is Prairie Artisan Ales. It shows only a small fraction of their lineup while their old site showed everything. I can find many of their beers on the shelves that according to their website do not exist. What's up with that?

If I'm planning on visiting a brewery... then hours, food menu, and beer list... but I rarely visit a brewery.

What I usually want in order of importance:
    - Beers in portfolio with descriptions and ingredients
    - Beer finder
    - Brewery history
    - Merchandise

At a minimum your hours, I would also like to see what you have on tap if it is a haul to get there. There is a brewery opening up near me I have been tracking. Go to their website and there is a 1.5 min video announcing their tap room opening, watched it and the credits, nowhere does it say the day or hours. Nowhere on their website, you have to filter thru their twitter and facebook shit and even there it is hard to find. Damned people at a minimum, have ONE page that list your beers and hours, you would delight the shit out of me. Don't make me work to get my business, I AM LAZY

Current taplist and hours of operation. That is pretty much all I need.

Pet peeve: Breweries that may have a website, but don't maintain it with their taplists, but instead opt to communicate their current taplist offerings on Facebook or Twitter. I don't use social media, but I use the internet. Drives me crazy.

    Beer taplist (updated), not hard
Beer data (ABV, IBUs, descriptors, again, not hard)
Beer release schedule, including small batch previews before they are out... (not hard)
Food options (if any - pretzels to full menu, with prices on-line).
Beer availability elsewhere (taps, bars, other restaurants, and retail if "big" enough)
    Beer stuff/Merchandise, again, not hard.
What amazes me is how many breweries fail to do these basic things right. It's 2017.

ideally i'm looking for a digital pour menu as it's the most accurate and up to date system for measuring tapped keg volumes and it integrates seamlessly with Untappd.

    http://digitalpour.com/#home

i'm not sure what it costs to run this system, but it makes the consumer side of choosing a venue so much easier than beermenus.

Which is kind of a shame. I know that the few breweries local to me that use beermenus.com usually only update it on their opening day for the week, say wednesday or thursday. By the time the weekend rolls around you will have no idea whats on draft and most times they are too busy to update their beermenus account.

Tap list, it seems like so many I seem to look at, do not have a current list. Sure, its great that they list seasonals/flagships/specials but those do me no good if they are unavailable.
