To kickoff the Craft Brewers Conference in Denver, Old Major is throwing down on Mon, Apr 7.

@Cfahooligan and I heard some of the details from the Old Major crew last week. Not to be missed.

This is just a heads up/teaser. I'll post the menu/beer list as soon as we get it from them.

    And there's a post-party / tap takeover at Highland Tap & Burger:

Not cheap but sounds awesome. I may have to do this.

...and I just realized this conflicts directly with the NCAA basketball championship game... making this decision harder... any chance Old Major has TV's in the background? I've never been...

You can record your game, but you can't record this slice of awesomeness.

the championship game results will get back to you by the time you get home.

*don't "turn your cell phone off/tech things off"*

    sounds like fun though...

Heard the dry hopped pear cider on tap at Old Major is ridiculous.

Probably can't make this one, but I'm definitely in for some future dinners.

....is anyone coming to this thing? I'm about to buy my ticket, but don't want to be there by myself...

OK... I bought my ticket... I will hope that I'm going to see some DB Huna, PNC, OTWOA, and Abrasive/Darkness... if this happened... it would pay for my ticket X2.... I will see anyone there who's coming. Cheers!

I think this might confirm the beer list... random that I found it on the flying dog website of all places...

    http://flyingdogales.com/landing-pages/cbc2014/

...and the tap takeover occuring the same day sounds amazing... (Darkness, Cacao Bender, Lil Opal, OTWOA, Lilikoi Kepolo etc...)

    I'm psyched!

If you're gonna call it a "rare beer dinner" and price it at $100 I'd like to see a more exciting line up. I'll see ya at the tap takeover...

"Rare" is subjective these days. Knowing Old Major, it'll be worth the $100 for the food and company alone + 4 beers I've yet to try and 1 that I'd love to try again.

    Looking forward to both events.

Re: the Highland Tap & Burger Takeover. I just got confirmation that most of the beers will be tapped starting @ 3pm, however, they'll be holding back some of the more special offerings until after the Old Major dinner.

I don't know about anyone else, but both events were a kickass time. Dinner was a bit long for our section, but having the brewers mingling with tables throughout the night was a nice touch. Food and beers were awesome too.

    Here's some food pics:

And ending the night with Surly Darkness didn't suck, however, I could've done without those 3 shots of whiskey.

Best pairing was the Trout ceviche course with Avery. The Maple Bacon creme caramel with DC Brau was also a fantastic pairing.
