Anyone else getting serious off flavors/ infected taste in their 2014 bottles like me?

had it for the first time last night, and only bought one bottle (winter 14-15), but thought that it tasted great.
I'll most likely go back for a 4-pack soon.

Had a bottle last night. I thought it was a little different then I remembered, but I had only had it a few times last year (and liked it a lot) so I was puzzled if I was remembering right and not sure if I was going to buy more then the two bottles I already had. But I was not sure it was bad .... interested to hear what others say

I think this year's is fantastic, and actually superior to the 13-14...

I was surprised at how smooth it is this year, it drinks like it has a year or two of age on it. Bcbs is pretty hot fresh, this year was a nice balance.

Haha, I'm certain OP is talking about Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout.

I was questioning this myself when I had my first bottle the other day. It was a much stronger fruit flavor than i remember and borderline sour fruit.

I've been through 6 bottles so far with no sour/infected flavors.

Haha. I think you're right. In that case I've had a four pack already this year and thought it was as good as usual. A very solid imperial stout at a great price.

I picked up a four pack and put two in the cellar and drank the other two. I didn't Notice anything different from last years batch. It was just as good as I remember it.

So far, I've had two bottles with different dates on them from the 14-15 release and they taste really GREAT to me. Best RiS you can get in my opinion and the price is really good. I can get it for like 7.99/4pk.

Had a bottle over the weekend. I thought it was excellent - much better than it tasted to me several years ago when I first tried it.

Note: this is a palate development comment, not a "it tasted different in previous years" comment.

My local Brooklyn distributor over purchased the 12-13 and was trying to push them all out last year and early this year for ~$8.50 a 4pk. I thought it was phenomenal (especially considering the value) and it quickly became one of my go-to beers. Because of the over purchase, the distributor didn't buy much of the 13-14 so I had limited exposure that release and have only had a few of the 14-15 so far. Neither the 13-14 or the 14-15 stood out to me like I remember the 12-13, I don't know if it was a difference in the release or if it was the 1.5-2 years storage the 12-13 saw.

But to answer your original question, I haven't found any serious off flavors

My local beer store has a ton of the 12-13 for $10 a four pack. In those I do get a lot more of the dark fruit than I remember, but it wasn't off putting. Also, I have not had this years yet, so I couldn't really answer. Maybe they tweaked the recipe?

Two or three 4pks for me so far, and no complaints here.

    Just a darn good stout.

This year's definitely has a little more dark fruit nuances as @JohnnyMalts stated. Certainly noticeable. I usually prefer it with a little age on it myself.
