HS email came through a few minutes ago and doesn't mention them either. Maybe they'll be mid-month allocations or maybe next month, although September already has five beers on the schedule. Who knows...

Holy crap, that is a solid list of offerings. I felt like Mash didn't hold up to Sucaba or BCBW so should it get pushed/dropped it really wouldn't upset me at all (and that is a total hypothetical; as far as we know it is fine and tasting awesome this year). I am really really hoping the Kangarue is similar to a La Terroir from LoF because they are both dry hopped sours, but the grapes could add all sorts of action. Also stoked for a big HS allocation of Befuddlement so my trade bait is restocked. If the event tonight is anything close to this release list, it is going to be a good month.

8 total, oh man, that gives midwest folks plenty of ammo to haggle that trade down. :stuck_out_tongue:

Also, I'm guessing the Collab will be open to PS / the public. These things usually are, right?

    From the email:
"Atomic Kangarue will see limited local distribution"

    So you should be good.

    +1 for me as well.

Befuddlement is an instant max for me, but what I'm really curious about is how that Atomic Kanarue turns out. Please do share, those of you who get to try it.

This is going to be an expensive month.

Yeah, I have a feeling I'll be maxing on everything but Smokey. At least the 3 are $20 and under with discount.

    Befuddlement
    10.6% abv
    $24.99 - $19.99
    Purchase Limit: 6 bottles
2 bottles included in membership (for a total of 8 max)
    Hoarders Society Exclusive

Befuddlement is a Hoarders Society exclusive blend of our Sour In The Rye and our bourbon barrel aged old-ale, Sucré, with the addition of an incredible number of boysenberries. This deep purple beer is textured with sweet notes of caramelized malts, spicy rye, oak, juicy berries and a pleasantly sour funk. It's a rather befuddling meld of flavors with an outcome that we couldn't enjoy more.

I know this would cause confusion up at the pickup so this is just an idea but how cool would it be if you can send your allocations to other existing society members, even in different tiers.

So say like a HS member doesn't want all 6 Befuddlements, he and some lowly RSer (like me) create some sort of backalley deal where I bring the "stuff" and give to him out of the trunk of my car and in return he deos little online tricks and basically sends 2 allocation units over to me for a specific beer?

I think it would be cool but I can see the headache in even attempting to implement this sort of thing. It also can potentially break the gap between HS and RS which would lessen the desire to be a HS (potentially) and increase RS'ness with a good HS buddy.

So many pitfalls and like only one or two decent positives...*sigh* at least I can dream.

There is zero upside for the Bruery to offer "exclusive" beers for the HS to the RS or anyone else. Why would they want to dilute their premiere membership?

Thus why I put in there that it would lessen the gap between HS and RS. The only positives that come from it are
    A) RS members get other exclusive beers (which does not help out Bruery at all)
    B) Perhaps Bruery then sells out of their bottles (potentially making more profit, but I doubt they have issues selling their beer)

Everything else is a negative in both the brewery and eyes of HS members. Again, I can dream....but it doesn't help much.

Or he can just buy the beer and give you the bottle...sharing allocation units or whatever is an overcomplicated solution to a problem that doesn't really exist.

The only difficult thing is finding that HS member that isn't capping out this month.

Then you wouldn't be able to find one to trade you an allocation unit either.

Of course im going to max out my Beffudlement but Im almost more excited for Smoky and the Bois. That said, The Bruery needed a home run and this moths sale just might be it.

I reserve judgement on the Home Run call until actually tasting them, although I agree they sound promising. (OT w Cherries excluded, as I already know it is delicious).

I'd agree. If an HS beer doesn't sell out then they should second chance it to HS instead of offering it to the peasants in RS.

Now to wait and see who is going to take the internet too seriously. But HS exclusive should actually mean something.
