You can't please everyone, all of the time. No matter what they do, some people will be disappointed. That's one reason why slots will continue to open up every year for both the hoarder and reserve societies.

As a new RS member, I have to say, I'm pretty satisfied year to date. I like the 32oz growler, I like the beers I got with my welcome package ( yes even smooth criminal and Bois Fume ), I like the beers in my allocations, was happy to get a bottle of Oude Tart with Cherries, I've enjoyed my free tasters and my discount in the tasting room.

My only complaint was missing out on Smoky and the Bois because I was traveling and by the time I saw the email it was gone.

So far so good for me.

Its fine to be pleased with the allocations and its fine to be displeased, the mere fact anyone cares about someones opinion boggles my mind, u know how many people exist in this world who dont agree with you? You might wanna sit down for this...

When you use a phrase like "not worth it", some people are legitimately interested in a more detailed opinion. All you did to get into the society in the first place was basically pre-pay for your initial package and included beers. Now, you get access to whatever they release the rest of the year. They've already delivered basically equal value to your dollar. "Not worth it" and "buncha lame beers" is just an inflammatory and uninformative opinion with no substance. Instead of offering a point of view, you then just talked down to people. I hope future months contain beers you appreciate and don't find lame.

I agree, ive been pleased with the society fee to beer/perks ratio so far with the allocations alone. Something they may want to improve on is the R32 growler fills. The beers that are available for fill should change monthly, they have had the same fills for quite some time.

You all are getting a bit off topic though.

I've loved getting to grab growler fills of Sucre variants, but yeah a bit more change up in their R32 offerings would be good thing.

I dont care if u are happy with something or not, i dont need to explain myself or reasonings to a beer forum, and i dont require an explanation from someone saying they like beer x or hate beer y. Its THEIR 2 cents. Doesnt affect me

If you don't need to explain yourself maybe you don't need to bring it up in an open forum.

Pretty sure it's card holding (no trustees) members only.

Imperial Or Xata was good. You could taste the extra 4% ABV. I think I was a bit creamier and more spiced than the 2015 regular Or Xata. Closer to the original.

No plus ones as they are checking membership cards at the door.

On a different note, I'm really excited for this Thursday!! Meet the bruer with Andrew and his black and gold ale --- un spiced or xata with green coffee beans and vanilla. SOUNDS DELISH!

I definitely am not claiming disappointment with the year thus far. However, here's some interesting math...

Forty beers announced for Reserve Society at the beginning of the year. That's forty beers divided by twelve months equals 3 1/3 allocated beers per month for the year.

But now we have eight months left in the year and only four of the Reserve announced beers have been released through April, and that's assuming that Sour in the Rye with Peaches is released on the 22nd. That's thirty-six beers divided by eight months equals 4 1/2 allocated beers per month for the rest of the year.

So for people whose budgets would be benefited by a more evenly distributed release calender, like me, I can understand a bit of angst.

But 45% of those 40 beers are sours and you knew they weren't coming out until spring. Budgeting sucks, but people manage to do it
