I'm just hopeful/excited that ToD C&V will be on draft when I'm at the tasting room next week. Last two times I've been there it's been on; so good...

I'm really interested in Share This Coffee, especially since it's relatively inexpensive.

Since I was in the mood for spending monday for Bruery..booked the train tickets from solana beach to anaheim this morning as well. Weeeee. Exit train, take picture of me flipping off the Pond just for @JoshBeerNow , head to event then stumble back to train station afterwards...again...flipping off the Pond just because.

The archive sale is two weeks starting on May 9th. I believe it was mentioned in the e-mail about the anniversary tap list in the paragraph that talks about society fulfillment hours and deadlines during the anniversary party weekend.

Just curious, how long does it take for the walk to/from the artic? I'm actually taking the train and then leaving early cause I'm doing the KROQ Weenie Roast after.

You guys can maintain the rivalry for a couple more weeks via the AHL, as the Gulls and Reign are meeting in the second round of the playoffs.

When I have somewhere to be it was like 20-25 minutes only because we had no idea which path to take. Walked by the little river which ended up being basically a straight shot. Walking back...well....yeah...we "walked" back so that took a bit.

You just need to watch out for the bikers since technically we are on the bike-path for a bit and getting in their way will spell disaster for both parties.

Looks like I will be getting into the station around 10:30 so I have some time to kill. Anybody got a good burrito recommendation within walking distance? =P

Jurassic Gose - This one is right up my alley. I love a good gose and with a respectable ABV this one had my attention. The grapes and barrel are definitely there, but not overpowering. I kept wanting to go back to this taster. Too bad it is limit 4...

Share This: Coffee - This one reminds me a lot of Pilot Batch #69. Nice imperial stout base with a lot of chocolate, but less sweet than the typical Bruery stout. And lots of coffee.

Tart of Darkness w/ Cherries & Vanilla - I'm a big fan of regular Tart of Darkness. Tons of vanilla and cherries on the nose.

Saixon - Was pleasantly surprised by this one. The Brett does this beer well. Will definitely pick up a couple.

The Wanderer - Had to get some more today because I love this beer!

Make sure you grab one of the Jurassic Gose posters if you make it over to SMM today.

So Share This isn't too overpowering with the coffee? I'm on the fence because I like it as an adjunct, but too many coffee beers are just straight up cold coffee and nothing else. The bitterness backed with the roast is too much for me.

heres my two cents guys, take it as you will

TOD C&V - Vanilla is less present than the 2014 batch... (yes.. the last batch came out two years ago, not last year like some people think), but the vanilla not being as strong isnt a bad thing. the beer is more balanced. nice tartness with an underlying roastiness. this was already a no brainer for me but getting to try it on draft was rad. curious to see how the bottles differentiate from draft and also excited to do a side by side w B1. DRAFT

Saixon - Well, all day you get brett and you get german hops. Light, crisp, slightly funk and refreshing. but tbh, this one is miss for me..only because its nothing special. nothing about it makes me want to go back for more. it makes sense that this beer is on the cheaper end, cause at the end of the day, you get what you pay for. by no means is this beer bad, just nothing id write home about...unless of course youre a sucker for german style beers. DRAFT

Share this: coffee - a brand new imperial stout series, and they started it off with a bang. in true mostra fashion, the coffee is a fresh, chocolatey coffee with an underlying resonating tone of vanilla, but not overpowering or bitter. it goes really well with the imperial stout base. reallllllly easy drinker for 12% and a creamy and nice mouthfeel. worth it for the price, and it will hit national distro which will please a lot of people. plus, the beer is for a good cause! i believe the charity that this benefits will actually be pouring this beer at the anniversary. im excited to see what the next component in the series is, and also excited to see how the coffee in this may develop. it can either be really good, or really really bad. also, give me a BA version of this!!! DRAFT

Jurassic gose - lets just say, if youre not a fan of confession, or other similar grape forward beers, this one wont be up your alley. not like your traditional gose, could use a bit more saltiness to fit the style but still a pretty delicious beer. subtle tartness tbh.... the port barrel is almost too subtle but does affect the resonating taste of the beer on your palate. honestly, i just get wine and grape all day. not sure this is one id max out on, but def a beer id get for some friends who really enjoy wine and sour beers. i feel like this beer would be tons better out of the bottle though, and im def down to give it another couple shots. DRAFT

cognac sucre (bonus!!) - drinking amazing. the last sucre variant i needed to try and its realllll nice now. BOTTLE

hopefully this helps a few people on this months allocations. always remember though, these are my personal opinions and it doesnt hurt to try them yourselves and form your own opinions.

I'm really excited to FINALLY have some delicious beer at the anniversary. Living in rural Oregon leaves me with very little to choose from.

I'm enjoying the 100% Barrel Fermented Autumn Maple, it's like a sour pumpkin pie. Delicious.

    Also, slightly drunk.

I can only bring myself to get marginally excited over the best stuff the other breweries are bringing knowing they are likely gonna pull this "timed release" BS, meaning lines will be forming ~30 minutes prior to best beers pouring. Thankfully at least the Bruery will not be partaking in that practice this year…sounds like they actually listened to my post-event comments the last couple years. Now if they just lose the ridiculous 1oz pour they've been doing the last few years, I'll be all the more stoked.

For what it is worth GABF is the same format of unlimited 1 oz pours...so it is not like it is a crazy thing they are doing with the idea. Seems to work great there. Believe me, it is better than the OLD days of 10 tickets and lines so long you cant even use 10 tickets...ala good ol clusterfork days. I am quite happy for this year!

1oz pours? seriously? pours have always been way more than that. last years anni glass had markings for 1 2 and 3oz the pours were all at least 2. year before had markings for 2.5 and 5.
