Regarding Mash & Vanilla - I know that vanilla can fade over time and that this brew is designated a "drink fresh" beer - what are people's guesses on what that "best by" date might be?

After much consideration, I've decided as an RS member to not renew.

I just don't find myself looking forward to getting any Bruery beer through out the year. If there is something, I typically know enough people to snag a specific bottle. I'm not a huge Old Ale fan, so that knocks part of the benefit out. The GF typically doesn't want to drink a whole 750 of any of their sours. And the big BA Stouts aren't enough of a draw for me anymore. I've had them all and to my palate prefer other BA stouts.

Additionally, I'm not local to the brewery and can't use any of the benefits.

    Cheers!

Just a heads up- if you have bottles that are outstanding that are owed to you due to some error/problem (ie- not regular purchases, cases like for myself where they didn't give my trustee 2 x M12 when he did a pick-up so they made a note in the old system) you might want to send them a message. The new system is missing this information....

Totally understand. I've been on the fence. Not a fan of the one week and every beer goes out to the public if it doesn't sell out. Seems without being a member I'll have access to the majority of the beers but just not the discount.

But that being said I decided to do one more year and stock up and some of my favorites and more exclusive beers in 2017 and then call it quits. I'm sure I'll have enough to last me a couple of years at that point.

#nope. Non-members aren't allowed for #SMM since they close the tasting room to the public.

I am a hoarder and long time member but am on the fence this year
Perks have gone downhill and am not buying as much beer as I have in the past
Competition and pricing point not to mention I do not feel like drinking an 18-20% ABV beer which is a 750ML they should go to smaller format for the big beers
Well I will still think about it, but really upset that I split my membership last year and only got 1 ticket to the party and my wife was unable to go, then when we get there they have these vendors who just kept switching the pass which hung around their neck and bringing a ton of people in who were not members. That really was upsetting, as I just wanted to pay for my wife to come to the party and was not able to get her a ticket. This year of course they go back to the normal allotted ticket amount but the damage was done and I am thinking not renew is best for me, but may change mind.

    From the Society Facebook:

We’ve been tasting through each barrel of Black Tuesday, and soon we’ll start packaging it in preparation for its release this October. It’ll be part of your October allocations (and available in conjunction with our Black Tuesday Release Party). We also have that super secret 2016 Hoarders variant on the horizon as well, deserving of its own day of the week.

So if BT is next month, does that mean there is a chance of GM this month? Christ I hope not... got three renewals to take care of and a Modern Times sale.

Hoarders exclusive "day" varient of BT.

Is it just me or does that suggests hoarders only this year (unless sales are not that good then it will trickle down) but will be made in mass quantity next year for RS and PS?

Thats how the other weekday releases have gone, no?

If it's pumpkin spice flavored I'm:

    2. Cancelling my membership

    BT Ideas:

Molé Thursday: Black Tuesday with Chocolate, and traditional Molé spices added.
Friday Turn Up (Collaboration with Alt 98.7 FM): Black Tuesday Reserve with twice the coffee and cacao nibs as Mocha Wednesday. #youknow
Red Saturday: Cherry Chocolate Rain basically.
Lazy Sunday: Black Tuesday with apples, cinnamon, and lactose added. Tastes like breakfast cereal.

I did not realize this was an English class
I will make sure I punctuate and utilize correct grammar going forward.

I hope this will help you to understand my post since you have little brain capacity.
You should really think about going back to school and taking a class on social skills.

Ha, that was pretty good. Honestly can't understand the vitriol behind anything pumpkin related. There are many (IMO) very enjoyable beers that come out in the fall season.

@BruerJoel case to explain in further detail the thought behind the week long allocation window? Perhaps I missed a previous reply but it seems like a lot of inconvenient changes for long time members (Hoarders especially) that have invested significant amounts of money in the Bruery.

I think that's exactly it, though. There are already MANY (possibly too many) pumpkin beers. I personally don't need another one, especially with BT as the base beer. I'd rather have Bruery start a new bandwagon then jump on an already overloaded one.

Isn't that the reason Autumn Maple specifically doesn't have pumpkin? A point made proudly on the label as I recall. I assumed that set the precedent for their approach to pumpkin.
