Yeah, finally going to get out Sunday to taste allocations and decide. Thank you to reviewers here--I won’t be expecting OTWB to be a M&FT replacement (finished last bottle last week :slight_frown:) so can have an open mind.

I have a bottle left myself. How's it holding up? Fresh it was French Toast in a bottle. The last bottle I had was still good, but was missing something.

OTWB is nowhere near M&FT. But, IIRC, the list for the year included a "French Toast Inspired Brown Ale". If I'm up on my Bruery code, that stands for M&FT.

Opened up my last bottle of Mash French toast a few days ago. Definitely was best fresh. Would advise to drink it sooner rather than later .

Has anyone opened up a bottle of otwb? Might be different from on tap.

A lot of those are just one-offs

I thought it was better when it was released. In fact, I liked it better then Mocha Wed, which for me is always a bit too coffee heavy.

Thought the balance of SHIT with coffee was near perfect when it was released.

With the coffee dropping off, still a great beer, but I should drink my remaining bottles sooner rather than later.

Had a M & FT last weekend and felt it still held up. Great brew, hope it's on the horizon.

I would agree. It has slipped a little bit, but is still pretty darn tasty— I don’t think I would keep it more than another 3-4 months or so though. I store mine at about 45 to 47° too.

Nothing like the way M&C fell off last year

Was hoping to go to Terreux tomorrow, but according to tap list allocations are not on there. Can anyone confirm?

Same here! I'm in town and would prefer Terreux... but none of the allocations are on tap there.

Both spots keep their tap list mostly up to date on Untapped. Looks like it's the OG room if you want to try the current allocations.

That almost sounds like an insult but I’m sure you didn’t mean it that way. Sometimes it’s hard to read people on the Internet

By the way I’m at the tasting room now. In case anyone wants to buy me a beer and discuss warehouse storage.

Ah, bummer, we almost headed up there tonight, but are heading south instead. I guess our conversation about the sheer impracticality of the existence and use of forklifts will have to wait till the next festival.

too bad. I was there with some friends wearing a Modern Times beanie. next time I encourage you to come say hello. even though we may radically disagree about pick-up window timeframes, you may find that we have some common ground, and could even forge a friendship.

I have other interests besides shorter pick-up window timeframes. Not many, but some others.

Finally got mine and my friends beers. 3 boxes of beer. Not even all the way full. The guys were nothing short of extremely polite and professional. My hat goes off to them. But, just for the record, this is the same order that someone from the society said in an email would take "a few days" to pack up

Life is full of mysteries. That's what keeps it interesting

    Cheers

Were you talking with a couple in the back end ledge ? If so, I was right next to you . Had a work shirt from the bruery. Definitely would of reached out to you, had i knew.

    As for tasting notes :

Both of the bruesicles were very good, mild tart. Didn't taste coconut in the strawberry vanilla combo which was my favorite of the two. Guava Destiny was guava and lemon forward. The OG kicked before I got there.

Chocolate salty bbls - reminded me of CR. Both nose and body. Did not taste sea salt (probably a good thing), but i think it added some complexity. There was some heat on it. Definitely very enjoyable.

Sitr with peaches were stellar as usual.

I had to head back to the bruery to try OTWB.

OTWB - cinnamon and almond forward. Coffee was mild, noticeable on the back end. On the nose, it smelled like cherries. I really enjoyed it, and perhaps slightly better as it warmed up . I was drinking pb Thursday right by it, and dwarfed the one dimensional pb. At the end, mixed it together . A little pb in my brunch, hah . I certainly enjoyed it, but I could see its too much for some. Better than Mash f/t? Idk, but it could age gracefully, while FT didnt.

I was on the far wall, by the bottles with two other guys. Cumulus was enjoyable.
