Bruery RS/HS Allocations (2019)

I think they're planning to have membership merch available for sale at some point. I definitely prefer getting more beer included instead of merch.

 

When I asked about growlers and such they said something along the lines of they were still figuring it out or going with a new branding company or something like that.

As far not including any merch, I doubt a bottle opener and a teku glass really would equal out to getting more beer without them. However, I really enjoy both of those and they were a nice gesture for my first year as reserved. I really enjoyed the bottle opener to open up those damn waxed top bottles and lost mine for about 4 months at a friends house until finding it this weekend. Was assuming and hoping I'd be getting another one in January but no such luck.

I'll wait for someone from the Bruery to answer the question but it would suck if they're deciding not to do something because a small amount of people feel they have enough of whatever it is this year. Go donate it or give it to a friend or something. It's not a choice of oh hey get this or get more beer or get something else, it's get it or get nothing it seems.

 

Merch is 100% en route.

Totally agree that the Whale Shark opener is amazing and while I would happily buy one now I don't think I would have known it was worth buying if it hadn't been included, so I hear ya!

Those openers are at least $15 each. Even if the glass is $5 that's an extra $20 bottle. Just saying.

 

You do realize as a hoarder, you can get hoarder fills with an RS growler? Perhaps you want another growler, but I hope you are not missing out of fills because you are waiting for a hoarder growler.

 

The only thing that feels odd to me about focusing on more beer instead of swag, is the slow start to the included beer.

It feels like less beer and no merch, compared to previous years, at this point into the year.

Luckily, I am a patient person, so I'm willing to withhold judgement until we get through the year.

So, we got brought some White Mocha yesterday....3 of 5 people there got some cherry flavor, which the label makes absolutely no mention of....

Did it have cherries in it?

 

As someone who is sitting on "a lot" of bottles and cans, I look at the slow start as a reprieve.

 

Is this supper club invite a way to make up for the lack of bottle 'rewards' from the 2018 membership?

Also, tickets going up for sale for the anniv party soon? Starting to get anxious now that I have the flight booked for the weekend and nothing has been posted yet.

 

I haven't seen an email, so that might suggest it's only going to select people...

 

They do state it’s limited to 50 members being invited, but also state its independent of society level, so I’m just curious, more than anything.

Oh I get growler fills basically every time I go, but I thought the brown colored hoarder one I've seen a few times was always cool looking plus the option of having 2 instead of having to get one growler and a crowler.

 

Haha same. When I first got it I thought well I guess it's just for show (not knowing it was to deal with the wax I had been struggling with). Once I found that out I loved it.

Especially after having to pick up 6 boxes last month from 2018! I have some work ahead of me.
