Uh, The email I just received is titled "[Hoarders Update] An update about March beers". Then it's the usual line about making sure to make your purchases before Monday as they will end and anything unsold will be made available again. This includes a limited number of cans (one per person) of Hold the Spoon that were pulled from the tasting room.

Soooo, Am I to assume that only Hoarders are going to get another shot at unsold bottles or cans? Or was this just a typo?

No. That is not part of 2018's membership. Tickets are going up soon! The anniversary party is May 4th. We'll have some fun stuff on that Friday as well, if you'd like to plan.

We've resolved the threshold issue. If you were a member and passed it you'll be notified tomorrow.
I can confirm that May 4th is locked in and it will be at the Pheonix club. The other fun details will be announced VERY soon.

We've figured out the threshold piece and are working on the options for the reward. We'll offer it to those that passed the threshold regardless of them being in a membership this year or not. If you've passed the threshold you can expect a communication from us next week via email. Again you can always reach out to us with any questions!

I am assuming it was just a typo based on the content of the message.

In DC, I am still wishing they would delay this "second chance" allocation until we get a chance to pick up and try our "first chance" purchases. I can pick up on Tuesday, but (surely) Afflesap will sell out on Monday. It was an improvement for people who buy immediately, to get their bottles ~2 weeks into the allocation period (otherwise it gets pushed another month, to the next truck). Maybe not many people immediately pick up their beers, but it would help me if they did this, and doesn't seem like anyone else loses out if the re-allocation started 3/25, instead of 3/18. I'll probably try to buy another Apfelsap on Monday since it's only one more $23 bottle, but in the future it would be an improvement to delay the re-allocation until a week after the DC truck, since we can't try on tap nor can we open our bottles we haven't received yet.

Anything that has White Oak Sap (especially if it isn't blended with anything else) has a unique, subtle tartness to it.

Have some bad news to report...opened my last bottle of last year's White Chocolate Chunk, and it was on the early end of full blown infection. Been stored properly and in the fridge for the past several months. When I opened it got a whiff of sour and the taste was not right. I independently asked my wife, who hasn't had a drink in months, to give it a smell, "Oh that's a sour, right?" Not supposed to be...

I struggled through the butt fruit for about 1/2 a glass, it just wasn't right. Ultimately went down the drain. You've been warned.

I also had last year's White Chocolate Chunk on Thursday and it was delicious.

So, another data point. 1 of 3.

Funny, I was craving WCChunk this afternoon but didn’t have any left. Hoping we’ll see a 2019 version.
