I have almost bought at least 1 of everything. Grumbling aside, I don't plan on jumping ship but, I think that the first allocation is a big one and this year it seemed off. Understood it's not like you can just tell the barrel to age faster and it'll be ready when its ready though I think maybe getting started earlier if that's going to be an issue? I'm sure everything that comes out will be solid going forward.

That said, I still would like a well defined answer on the thresholds and whether or not I'm ballpark. I feel like I spent a LOT the past two years. Would prefer not being in limbo and it's frustrating to see now that after they advertised it, they didn't have a solid plan on how it was actually going to be implemented.

Thankfully WoL is keeping me distracted this week.

I don't see any comments on untappd for issues. So hopefully it's just a minority of bottles.

I opened one two weekends ago and it was fine. I have one left in my fridge, I'll report back when I open it.

I've been waiting for this announcement in forever. Except the part that terreux ONLY? None available for hoarder members online? That's a big disappointment.

I imagine they are volatile as fuck regarding shipping, esp the time it takes them to get to out of state members via proxies, etc.

The last time they canned a bruesicle I think I recall them posting something similar and were pretty adamant they should be consumed as fresh as possible and kept under refrigeration.

What he said. The Bruesicles are pretty dangerous if left to warm up. Even shipped cold to DC, which would be crazy expensive, they could only sell them out of the cooler. Shipping couldn't be an option to a member.

    Nothing to do with that.

They did a can release online last year. I ordered, picked up.

Every can I shipped, arrived safely. Though I'm sure it is volatile.

Just like joose , jreams and others. There's a chance.

    ok.

And I'm sure it's not a -chance- they want to run at this point, considering how bitchy members have been this year.

Picking up cans, and shipping is NOT the issue.

Making these cans available to the public, and NOT online to their members...just further alienates their members. I paid $750, and I don't have access to these cans because I'm not super close to swing by?

I'm one of the biggest advocates of the Bruery, but this one makes no sense. Unless they made 10 cans? Otherwise, why not give the opportunity to the hoarders?

I suppose I should send them an email, see if they have an opinion.

As a side note - Nobody really cares when beers blow up during transit. I mean, we don't want it to happen. But that won't stop the majority of shipping them. More importantly, they don't come screaming ,yelling and stop visiting the Answer , 450 North or Burley Oak . Have those breweries gotten more popular or less popular with their violate offerings?

Recently I got a Joose that blew up when I opened it up. Literally blew up like a volcano, destroyed the walls and window blinds. I got about 4oz out of the crowler. It's a risk. Deal with it, and move on.

I do agree with you that if we want to roll the dice, they should be available to us. Throw a disclaimer up there at the very least. Most of us at this point know what we are getting to, especially us out-of-staters.

Maybe they have extra sugars in this batch that has them concerned - some transparency or a simple blurb in the email saying why they are not available online like last year's was would be beneficial.
