I know for sure they have the Calgary flames (who cares about them [I live here, I can say it]) but I'm not sure about the rest of the league.

I would buy them if Buccaneer cans end up in MT. Highly doubt that though.

If I still lived in my home team's market, I would definitely buy some. I probably wouldn't drink them, though. The NFL essentially prints its own money and I'm happy to report that I've been completely brainwashed. Go Ravens!

I have to admit, I bought a few six packs just for the team logo bottle caps. At least it's 100x better than Bud light.

I get all the bud light hate but it is actually a fine example of the style. I mean hey if you don't like lagers or light lagers that's cool but don't act like because you drink beer with grapefruit juice you are any more sophisticated or knowledgeable on beer than a bud light drinker.

just one quick first time look at the ratings confirms this.

    Miller lite- rdev~55

    Bud light- 45

Miller light is water, no discernible taste aspects, bud light is not great but not a 45 either; Pure bias.

Anyone remember the lids on the old glass Gatorade 32oz bottles (mid 70s?) that had the NFL football helmets? I think they are probably in a shoebox in my parents attic.

Brilliant marketing. They look neat. Nice that Bud Light lovers can have cans with their teams on it.

Not sure how expensive it would be but local brewers doing same for local teams/colleges should consider it.

Ranks right up there with the marketing genius by Coca Cola with their putting "share with" names on bottles and cans

Locally Wachusett out of Massachusetts did a City of Champions mixed 12 pack (four styles/sports of 3 beers each):

    Bella Czech Pilz
    Green Monsta IPA
    Brewin American Pale Ale
Triple Double Larry (a Belgian version of their "Larry" double IPA)

Very smart of them to capitalize on the sports sentiment, I will certainly pick one up and Wachusett is not usually my first choice.

Any other breweries that do something similar with all their local sports teams? I believe Wachusett has some agreement with the Red Sox to use the existing Green Monsta IPA name (as they are sold at most stands in Fenway Park), but the others obviously use naming/label liberties to not require licensing. They don't exactly have Bud Light's marketing budget...

For those of you referring to these cans as 'marketing genius,' you must be easily impressed. NFL logos are on every type of product you can possibly imagine.

And it's not like the people who are buying these weren't going to buy Bud Light anyway.

It's one of the top sellers as it is, only going to increase, it's not because the beer is great, rare. It's a marketing creation nothing more. Pretty girls in bikinis, etc . This gives them the power of another billion dollar entity. The NFL is the ultimate power play.

They serve bud light at the United Center where the Blackhawks play however recently they have been focussing more and more on craft beer. Last year during the playoffs you could buy Bourbon County at Blackhawks games. If I remember correctly the first round was regular, second round was coffee, third round was vanilla rye, and in the final it was proprietors.

I'm only liking this for State Pride purposes, and you're not (apparently) from here. I'd rather watch the Twins with something from Summit or Fulton in my hand, but really, I'd rather be at a concert drinking Bell's.

I will have no Bud Light, but I will watch football. I remember watching Johnny Unitas toss to Raymond Berry, eating sandwiches with my Dad. I'll drink a good beer or two and have strong memories. There are folks around here who still have a big attachment to the Redskins, but I always loved the Colts....Quite a bit less now. Maybe the Panthers can be 10-0 for the first time ever. Cam Newton, I believe, is a likely force of nature. As a former player (not NFL), I'm glad I do not have to face him. Tomorrow's plan is mostly Foothills.

Drink a miller light, then drink a Bud light after. It's very easy to taste the difference. I do it once week after hockey games.

Bud did this in baseball. Used to drink Coors Banquet at the Rangers games, but now the only place to buy it is in one of the private clubs. Only AB products in the stands and concourses with one small craft kiosk in no man's land out in the left field corner and some food vendors offering Texas brews in cans.
