Canned hours ago. Matter of fact, she said i was the 2nd person to buy it and it was being canned while I was there. Super fresh and delicious PP/El Segundo collab called Rippin Bear. Last year they did Chirpin Bird, at least I think that's what it was called. 7.2% right in the zone. Happy Friday peeps!

Getting error trying to upload the image.....

HPB/BW collab is a perfect WC IPA that blends the old school hops with the new. The CTZ gives it that classic bitterness while the Citra and 586 give it some of that modern mango/guava. Highly recommended.

Currently drinking the DDH Citra from ESBC. It's very good. If they made this version somewhat regularly, I'd grab 4pks of it for sure

This years Earth Thirst from Eel River is a pretty great westy dipa. Features organic mosaic, citra, and Idaho 7 this year so its got a more modern flare than the C hop heavy flavor that was typical in previous years. Nice to see more varieties of hops getting into organic production. Happy earth day!

Picked this up from local TJs today, canned 4/13 so super fresh. $12 isn't a great price for the format (BW LBC is $10) but look forward to trying it.

The one I had was canned 4/5, so good to know they are doing multiple canning runs in that short of a period. MT's got a solid track record with their WC, but the problem I have is that even when you get them the day they arrive at the store (or even the brewery), they're often already 2+ weeks old. So I assumed they'd all be 4/5 for the next couple months until they can a new batch. But maybe it'll be possible to pick up fairly fresh ones regularly.
Getting IPAs delivered from other breweries a day or 2 after canning has spoiled me. Even picked up the new PP release on the day it was canned last week.

Yep, already the 2nd drop at Davis Beer Shoppe

I'll happily take a $12 6er of 12oz cans of solid WCIPA (see Revision IPA when fresh). Far better price point than the plethora of $15+ 4pk of 16 oz cans on the shelves.

I wish we had more consistent BW can access in my area. Lots of spots sell them as singles, or the packs they do sell are dated and at room temp storage.

It’s a six pack right? When I saw the small format I was thinking maybe they did 12oz 4 pks. But I am in for a 6 pk at $12.

While I'm still disappointed in the Blazing World recipe change and now being discontinued, this is a solid year-round replacement...assuming it can be found fresh.

just snagged another 6 of Rippin Bear at my local mom/pop....11.99 a 6pk is killer price!

Also got a 6 of Brewery X (first timer) called Pint Whacker, decent westcoast, not as big as Rippin, but a good first beer on a Friday afternoon.

Figured I would revisit this one, since you can't beat the price.. Seems a little more flavorful then before. Solid. I would put it over "Taste for Adventure (Sabro WC)".

I thought this one was good coming from MT. I took a 6 month break from anything MT. Their hazy’s has been in a daze lately. At least for me. So this small can has hit the spot. And a westy.

I mean, they pretty much included the answer with the post.
"What the hell is a Cold IPA? Well, it’s a fun term that Kevin from Wayfinder in Portland coined for making his lager yeast fermented IPAs, that are mashed with 30% rice to help lighten up the body and color. On the palate, this thing is very much like our clear and bitter California IPAs, and we really dig it! The color is very pale, with a firm bitterness, and a sticky resin quality that is all fresh douglas fir, and super hoppy aromatics of blueberry muffins and strawberries."

I read that. Do we really need another category for IPA's? I know its just for fun. How about Weed IPA's? For fun.

From.what I read it sounds more like a steam beer. Its fermented with lager yeast at a higher than usual temp for lager yeast
