Close, but I just pour the Rare into my mouth, gargle, then spit. THEN I drink the barleywine straight out of the bottle. Works like a charm.

Hell no. A bunch of us said that Sucaba is pretty much just as good. Do you know how insulting that is to King Henry? It's like saying Chimay or Rochefort are pretty much as good as Westvleteren. Oh the humanity.

King Henry might be the best BA Barleywine there is to some people (not me), and even though it might not be made again, it is still not a whale! lol

People need to learn the difference between a top notch beer, and a whale...

Sounds like your collective pallettes were really not picking up on the rare-y notes...

IMO, the hype on King Henry is well deserved. You can land one, but with your gots, you will have to go WAY over dollar for dollar to get one. I've had to trade away an 05-12 +barrel aged behemoth vertical, and 3 barrel aged dark lords to land the bottles that I have. If you want it that bad, put together 4-6 beers and post a 4 for 1 or 6 for 1 ISO.

You need to make better trade partners then, lol. I was giving away Henry 1:1 for 2010/2011 Dark Lords in the fall and I think the "rarest" beer I traded it for was Baller Stout. Hell, I even traded one for a mystery box of locals. Obviously I wouldnt do that again, but still lol.

6 pages in two days? Sounds like I should come out of my trading hiatus and put some KH for trade. I can tell you I would honestly trade the KH's I have but I am just not involved in the community enough to know what to ask for. It seems like there is always something new that everyone wants and I can't keep up. Unlike most traders on here, I have no idea what is in my cellar right now outside of a few beers and can't even tell you how many KH's I have. How do all of you keep up with it?

They were all over the shelves for a couple days.

    12.99 a bottle - I could have bought cases.

I'm happy with what I have left though.
