Some of you guys may not realize but this is nothing unique to Carton. Two Roads has contracted brewed many beers over the years for numerous breweries including one of the most sought after IPA's in the NE, Lawson's Sip of Sunshine.

If they are going to can Red Rye Returning I don't care where they can it.

At my local in Westfield, they had at least 6 cases of IDIPA in the back, which was unusual to see. (They've been getting it the past two-three weeks and today was by the far the most I've seen them have.) I liked it, didn't love it this year, didn't feel compelled to buy more than the two 4-packs I bought three weeks ago. Wondering if others in the area are feeling the same...?

On the other hand, their three cases of Boat (delivered Thursday I believe) was down to two 4-packs after I bought my 2. No surprise on that...

Mannnnn...I love HopPun so much...even more than Boat, perhaps. Does anyone know when it comes back?

Also, what is this Beach beer you speak of?

Can't speak for in person, but the most recent FB post says yes which should mean they did as of Sunday at open. They did not comment or edit that they are "no more". So 50/50 - they update FB an hour before opening on Wednesdays usually.

I went on Sunday and left at 4:45 PM. They still had "some". Can't guarantee what that is though, so I'd listen to @kthoag

No way! Let me recant a story I heard when I was at Port Jeff brewery last year: Port Jeff does a "Party Boat IPA" and Carton was none too happy when they found out about the name as they obviously had "Boat Beer" going before that and both sell in NYC. I know Port Jeff already had a "Beach Beer" and now Carton has their own "Beach Beer". Wonder if that's a coincidence or not.

Also, Boat Beer is wayyyy better than Party Boat IPA

News to me. Never heard of Port Jeff. Is this another Boat/Yacht/Sit Down Son situation?

I've been there a handful of times over the last several years since I have family in the area. I've never really been that impressed, especially with the hoppy stuff, but they do a fair amount of canning for a smaller brewery. Based on the story I heard and the Sit Down Son situation, I didn't discount that there might be a connection.

This was a personal favorite of mine, the release quarrel. Also the Yacht was fairly average imo.

Let isn't know how it held up and what kind of taste profile is going on! I've been putting off drinking my last cans.

IDIPA is available at BottleKing Livingston,NJ. I am guessing may be at other locations as well.

Trying AOE last night has convinced me to keep an active journal of sorts for whenever I do this again. Apparently I had last had this on April 25th but left no notes to myself about it. GREAT. So all I could compare it to was to AGE from the previous night.

I can tell that the hops have faded into the background a bit and the malt takes over somewhat but not in an overpowering way. I actually really enjoyed it. The orange zest is still present. I think I enjoyed it more now than I did the first time around... but upon realizing that the last time I had it was in April, my flavor profile and overall appreciation might be better this time around as well.

If you're looking for a super hop bomb to come out of that can, it's not happening. At least it didn't to me.
