Wanted to gather some hard data on what the BA community has actually aged, tasted, and thought some age on a particular BELGIAN DARK ALE (Quad's included of course) was definitely better than it being fresh.

Go ahead and list the ones you've experienced this to be true. Let's consider "aging" to be at least a year old in the appropriate environment.

If you happen to disagree with any listed, then just simply disregard. We'll let the numbers tell the truth.

2007 Cuvee van de Keizer Blauw is my favorite vintage, better than 08 & 09 but it's an all around stellar beer

Huh? I said CvdK Blauw. Though Chimay Blue would be another great option to cellar, I made no reference to it.. Lol, regardless all of those sound like great cellaring beers

Edit- ohh, looks like you just meant to reference tendermorsel... Sorry, I was confused

Never had the chance to try an 07, but I have had an 08 three times and loved it. Glad to see other people enjoy the vintages as much as me.

La Trappe is not really a Belgian Dark...:stuck_out_tongue:. all La Trappe beers are developed and brewed in collaboration with the monks of the O.L.V. Koningshoeven Abbey. ( Netherlands )

3 Philosophers is the only one I have cellared and sampled - it was my first aging experience and now, I stockpile 3P. Go buy some now. 3 years is amazing on this one.
