If they sold a few hundred less tickets and had a 2 beer limit, this would have been a great event. I've been going since the 14th anniversary party, and this was the least enjoyable time at any of them. Shoulder to shoulder people and the beer line was insane. I drank 2 beers real quick, got my bottles, and got the heck out of there.

Sounds like a fine idea but shouldn't have taken prime parking.... Oh Well.

We had an absolute blast. Saw lots of old friends, ate some good food, & the beer was, as usual, world-class. This was the best run anniversary party I've been to, & we've been going since the 13th Anniversary.

And for those who are whining about not getting beer X when Black Gold & 18 were pouring all night...well, I can't even begin to understand what you're complaining about.

Tip o' the hat to Central Waters for a kick-ass event & even more fantastic beer.

Didn't want to hassle with a line for the allotment. The line for beers were already long due to VIP's, so spent the 3 minutes getting our allotment so we didn't have to worry about it.

Missed on the Cassian, but got to have everything else we wanted. No complaints at all. 18 was incredible, Peruvian Morning was amazing, wish I could have brought a bottle of that home, Black Gold incredible as always. Great beer, great music, bourbon barrel maple syrup! We took a shuttle from our hotel in Stevens Point, very smooth, met some great people Met some BA's due to postings you had made, what a blast. Yes it was crowded, but if hundreds of you missed out on a ticket, wouldn't you be complaining about getting shut out? I think it was very well done, congrats CW! Curious on how many people were there, I heard 1,000 to 3,000 so no idea.

3000 people based on tickets sold according to this article though I would expect some who got $5 allotment tickets wouldn't have been able to make it. I thought the crowd was fine aside from our initial line for draft pours which took nearly 40 minutes but we arrived at 3:20 so tough for me to complain. Had a great time, well done Central Waters!

when comparing to the black gold event, this was the best run event in the history of the world

Glad to see they made some adjustments

We had a great time. We got there and were in line by 2:40. Got inside shortly after 3, got our allotments with no wait. We didn't care about any of the limited drafts so we made a trade that was lined up, and drove back to the hotel to drop off our beer and grab a shuttle back. Got back just before 5pm, enjoyed some black gold and 18 on tap for the next few hours. It was super crowed when we got back, but within an hour there was room to get around pretty easily in the warehouse.

Besides the real sloppy drunks, it was a fun night with lots of friendly people.

Had some damn fun on Saturday. To me, the event was run pretty smooth, although the line of people could probably be routed a little differently to free up some of the "choke" points. Kind of surprised by how many people were wasted at 4pm, guess "new money" doesnt realize that you cant slam 12% beers for an hour (or longer, for those "pre-gamers") without h2o chasers.

Yea I got there about 2 and was about 100-150 back in line. Went straight to the draft line once I got in and got Cassian and Peruvian. Took my time with those and then got my 8 bottle allotment. No line to get my 18s, so it worked out great. First timer right here and had a blast. 18 is one helluva beer

Sorry if I missed it earlier, but has there been a proper pronunciation explained for Cassian Sunset?

    I've always said it cay-shun
    I've heard others say cas-see-en
    And yet others cash-e-en

Proposed new rule for 2017 -- If you've got pneumonia don't come to the party.

Reason: I went to the party and now I have pneumonia and I don't want it.

I'd say none of what we were doing goes far enough to fall into cult status. I mean going to two events a year at a brewery is well.. pretty far from. And if I was only devoted to the barrel aged beers at one brewery I'd be out of beer pretty damn quick.
