For those of you following this thread, thoughts on the idea listed below?

Few of us are heading up to CW area Friday afternoon. Planning on throwing a few bottles back at a hotel. Would some folks heading that way be interested in a bottle share Friday night? Was talking to a few buddies that attend our annual share for KBS week and they are all interested in doing a share Friday. Thoughts?

    Cheers!

To piggy back off what TastyD said, it'd be nice to put some faces to the avatars, if we got enough interest to organize a CW17BS. For those of you who know us, you know what we're about, our Annual KBS bottle shares from years past, and how we do things! Overall we think it'd be a fabulous idea for beer lovers alike to gather, shake a few hands, share some laughs and crack some tasty brews. Hopefully this can get some traction.

    Cheers boys and girls!

I believe O'so taproom will be open Friday at 3pm. You should stop down before your tasting as one of the beers they are releasing is bourbon barrel aged convienant distraction which I've hear is really tasty. Yeah, I am looking forward to CW
    s party.

Fuck that. I want them to overcompensate as much as possible. More good beer for everyone.

No doubt. 16 ran out just in time for 17. I dont taste the rare in my beer so i love when breweries make a shitload of a good beer.

Just tried my first CW beer tonight, the brewers reserve BB stout, it was excellent! Also got some Y2K, BB choc porter and BB pumpkin. Can't wait to try the rest, if they are as good as the BB stout I will be pleased.

Anyone going that isn't getting their full allocation (probably a stupid question) or is willing to pick up some extra bottles when they become available? I'll shoot you some cash and a box of beer as a thank you. Message me if you're willing to help a brother out! Cheers!

You are correct. Just finished one and it was excellent! I live 10 minutes from Founders but CW is quickly becoming my favorite brewery. We will see how the remainder of my purchases drink.

    Thanks

They will not likely release the tap list until a couple days prior to the party. Here is last year's tap list to give you some idea anyway.

    Taplist:
    Honey Blonde
    Shine On...
    Hop Rise
    Ouisconsing Red
    Nitropuppy
    Mudpuppy Porter
    Hop Harvest
    Slainte Scotch Ale
    Glacial Trail IPA
    Brewhouse Coffee Stout
    Satin Solitude Stout
    Imperial Red Ale

The following beers will also be on tap all night (or until they kick!)
    Bourbon Barrel Stout 2013
    Bourbon Barrel Barleywine 2014
    Peruvian Morning 2014
    Exodus
    Bourbon Cherry Stout 2013 (limited)
    Y2K Catastrophe Ale 2013
    Space Ghost (limited)
    La Riviere Coulee

    and....

16! We should be able to keep this on tap most, if not all of the night.

I plan on going up with a friend but missed out on getting a ticket. If anyone has an xtra tic that they aren't going to I'd be very grateful if I could buy it off of you. Or if someone isn't buying their full allotment I would like to buy whatever you aren't going to buy. I appreciate any and all help. Looking forward to the party. Thanks.

If it's anything like last year you'll have no trouble buying them at 7 pm after the ticket-only period has ended.

They had 16 left up until two weeks ago, so, if the quantities are close to the same, there should be no trouble. I'm planning on buying mine in February when we visit Wisconsin.

Although it was a completely unofficial, non-CW statement, when Dexter's had the CW tap takeover, I remember the facebook post advertised "possibly, the very last barrel of Exodus that exists." I tried to find a link, but it seems like this post might have been deleted. Let's hope Dexter's was wrong...

I had been under the initial impression that this one was pretty rare too, but I've noticed it has been popping up at a lot of tap events.. now I would say I'd be surprised if it isn't on at the party.

I'm hoping they've again made plenty (we've gone through several cases of CW16 here), but since CW17 is apparently a blended stout and tickets for it sold out way faster despite the tighter proxy limits, it seems like that may not be the case.

Tighter proxy limits could just be to keep the lines moving, since people seem to complain about that every year.

  31. Yohann

That's probably the case. But if the same number of bottles were being made available, tighter proxy limits should have resulted in the available tickets lasting longer, not selling out faster.
