Chicago Stout Releases (2018)

I had a bottle of the non-BA recently and I thought it was great. Better than the barrel aged.

 

The Open Bottle received some Big Bad Baptista, along with Triple Barrel Baptist - for anybody out that way.

 

Theres 3 cases of BA 10:50 @ LP Binny's. Line is long for Abraxas relese but I think everyone in line will get a bottle.

 

Yes, that's quite the popular sentiment. And that would definitely be cause for some hesitation. Good point!

 

Ah I remember 5 years ago when you could buy Abraxas for months at $12.99.

 

A bunch on the shelf at whole foods 3700ish Halsted too. $12.99 a can.

 

Anyone have limits on the BA 1050? I am not in chicago, but Chicago allotment sizes usually give me a really good indication of what I can expect here in South central Indiana

 

Out in the burbs Binny's it looks like 1 pp.

The brewery was allowing 10 cases per person at the release. So It sounds like there's a lot. What that means across the country, who knows.

 

Anyone try that triple BA Big Bad Baptist? I like boozy beers. Just curious if there is more to this beer than heat.

I hit up Binnys after work and they had at least 20 or so bottles left of Abraxas. Also a ton of Big Bad Baptista and Triple Barrel Big Bad. Not sure if there's any left. The Binnys on Grand is getting a ton of Abraxas on Black Friday with no limit apparently.

Yeah Binny’s LP was putting out Baptista and Triple at around 6. This was Abraxas release was winding down so it may have helped it last a little longer. I hadn’t realized Hazel’s Nuts was out so I happily grabbed a bottle too

Not that Im complaining, but 10:50 might last a little while with how much they got.

 

Grabbed a couple cans of BA Ten Fidy at Binny’s Lakeview. They sold out of Abraxas already. Also grabbed a Triple Barrel Big Bad Baptist.

I’m puzzled why Binny’s Grand is saving their Abraxas and BA Ten Fidy for Black Friday.
