^This. It's ridiculous. I just walked into my Binny's. Not only was Big Bad Baptist, Baptista, and Triple BBB sitting on the shelf, they're on freakin' sale. And now I habe a pour of Jamo-Nilla sitting in front of me. Life is pretty good on a Thursday night!

Which ones were they selling that they were planning on holding back?

If it makes you feel any better, I am by birth, but haven't been in quite some time. I live downstate, but I malinger around here because I have a Binny's, and make frequent trips to Chicago for family and friends. Makes for solid intel, which sometimes works both ways, and we for the most part get the same distro.

Jamo-Nilla was pretty fantastic. But then again, I'm partial to nitro beers and Jameson has a soft spot in my heart. I was surprised we saw a keg down here

Glad to see the bottle filling standards at Odd Side haven't changed

It's the same reason I am a lurker in these parts. I'm not even tangential to Chicago - I'm a good distance away. But Indiana threads are dead. Dead as a door nail. Deader than dead. Super dead. Exceedingly dead.

All of my information as to when I get distro is from this thread or the occasional post in the news sub-forum.

Preach it. After seeing all of the talk of the Epic BA beers, I was pleasantly surprised to see them all sitting on the shelves. It's going to take some willpower to not go and raid more of the Baptista bottles. I absolutely love that style of beer.

Maple Bourbon biscotti Mexican cake (and the beat goes on...) is at beer temple for the low price of $42.99.

    Have it guys. MAPLE!!!

If that’s beer temple’s price, than means it’s MSRP or within the margin of error.

That name sounds like a parody of stouts in 2017.

Also, I thought imperial mexican cake break was really bad and wouldn't ever consider spending $43 to see if bourbon barrels and maple make it any better.

Nice that we have a lot of options though!

Grabbed my bundle, in some ways I wish breweries would handle releases like this is being handled but on the flip side I'd be spending way too much money on beer. I don't do lines and that saves me from spending too much....

BTW I'd be willing to swap my BA version for a regular version of this since I'm not a huge BA guy.

How has Neckbeard and BA Neckbeard been in past years? Worth the +$60 for three bottles?

It’s because we aged three different “things” in barrels. The beer, coffee, and coconut. Green coffee went into casks (without beer) and was then roasted. The raw coconut went into bourbon casks. The beer went into rum/whiskey/bourbon. Everything was blended at the end.

Yeah it's nice, but for super hyped beers it would just sell out in seconds. So it doesn't work for everything.

Yeah I think so. Figure it at two $15 vanilla bean stouts and a $20 BA stout + tax. Pricing is good. It's always been a good beer.

Both Abraxas and Neckbeard have become 2017 Chicago stout season casualties for me. Revolutions new packaging format and ***crosses fingers*** ease of release is taking a good portion of my money. Not a knock on those beers whatsoever, just an embarrassment of riches.

I'd say no. Both were mediocre in my opinion.

Now, maybe these were actually brewed in Michigan? Possibly higher quality then? (I'm not a Hailstorm fan). Anyone know?
