Great news! 2 of my favorite breweries.
Yeah, wonder if the other collab is with Great Lakes, Fatheads, or another Hoppin' Frog collab.
Hell, even Thirsty Dog collab would be awesome.
In any case, I will be hunting hard for these OH collabs.
Nice, two of my favorites that both do awesome stouts! Going to be hopefully awesome!
Which means they'll make a Saison.
My guess is an imperial porter
Aged on maple?
should be good.
Sounds like Great Lakes is the other Ohio brewer to collab with CCB. Hell ya! Proud to be from Ohio. I can't wait to see what they do too.
Late night boredom.
I immediately thought this and still can't stop laughing. Y U NO MAKE STOUT WIV ALESMITH? I mean, that's what we really wanted, isn't it?
Where did you find this info, or is it just speculation?
Looking forward to this beer. Not looking forward to the pricetag on it. Hoppin Frog shit is always supre expensive. At my local bar they did a Hoppin Frong night (the old beer guy was from OH) The cheapest was like $11 a glass. F that shit!
From what I understand the kegs are expensive. The bottles are normal price though, around 11 bucks for a bomber of their imperial stout.
Went to hoppin' frog night at Willard's tap house tonight. The brewer Fred Karn was there. Boris on tap for 7.50 and 2012 BA frogs hollow double pumpkin!
how was the double pumpkin? I have a couple of these I found the other day from this year. not crazy into pumpkin but a few friends are that haven't came over to drink them. curious how it is drinking.
I really only like pumpkin beers with time on them so I thought it was drinking nice.
Okay everyone....The much anticipated Dan'l Webster Imperial Porter was released today. I picked up a case for myself and some friends. I am enjoying a glass right now with a fine Padron anniversary cigar and I must say, it is simply sublime. Slight burnt tangerines and coffee to the nose, very silky mouth feel with light carbonation. The taste is definite coconut, woody maple, cocoa nibs, coffee and ever so slight citrus notes. This is an outstanding porter being very complex, thick and smooth with great nose and mouth feel and even better flavor than Gonzo porter. Great collab and looking forward to many more between these to great breweries.
That's awesome...would you consider sending some south for some Funky Buddha or Tequesta growlers?
Yes, I would. What is available? My email is email@example.com. If I can't get back to you tonight, I will surely answer tomorrow.
i wasn't planning on having one tonight, but i was forced to as one of my bottles was leaking from the bottom, so by the time i got home my back seat had already drank half a bottle
it was excellent. i was expecting to be a bit let down, but was pleasantly surprised.
on a side note, nice cigar choice! those are one of my favorite NCs
All those Gator fans in Tampa have rubbed off on him.
Coming in from NOLA and will be at the brewery on Saturday. Any chance this will still be around? (i.e how much did they make?) Anything else anyone would recommend grabbing at the brewery or in the area?
I heard it was 1200 bottles
