Looks like they're at it again!

Hop heads rejoice! This 22oz. bottle is packed with ten different types of hops. That’s the largest number of hop varietals ever used in a single CCB beer. This beer clocks in at 7.8%ABV and has 84 IBU’s.
To brew Jolly Ollie IPA we used a West Coast-style yeast instead of the English-style yeast we use in Jai Alai IPA.
Jolly Ollie’s name comes from the love of the ollie. The flatboard ollie, in skateboarding, as we know it today is said to have originated here in Florida. The name is also a nod to some of the more creative ways people have mispronounced our flagship beer, Jai Alai.
This beer is being sold in our tasting room and is also going out to Florida distribution

Thank God bc Jai Alai is way too damn malty.
And who really cares because none of their stuff ever gets out of FL hardly.

Jai Alai is too malty? The yeast doesn't play that much of a role in the malt. You're gonna get more character with an English yeast. You'll get a much cleaner taste from a "west coast" yeast.

Jai Alai might get malty when it's old, but when it's fresh it fantastic. I'm drinking one now canned three days ago and it's fucking awesome. Nothing malty about it.

I considered Jai Alai too "malty" as well until I had some that was super fresh...like 10 days old and it was GREAT! Very clean, a big hop presence and a really dry finish.

Jai Alai too malty? No, but I think it's a malty ipa yes. Is it also hoppy? Yes. IPAs can be both hoppy and malty. It's like an insult saying an ipa is malty. It makes for a balanced ipa like Jai Alai is.

There is a big malt presence in Jai Alai. However, as long as the hops in it are fresh, the hops and malts work wonderfully together. It's when the hops fade that jai alai becomes a forgettable beer.

I wouldn't say it finishes dry to me and my opinion is it's on the sweet side for an IPA. Not necessarily malty, but sweet.

True, it is a bit malty and sweet for an IPA. People in Tampa love it or loathe it. There are better IPA's in our local market.

Call me crazy, but Jai Alai is better than heady and Pliny. But ain't this post about Jolly Ollie? It's pretty goods. dry west coast style IPA. Very hop forwards

Fresh Jai Alai is amazing. I would be very interested in trying this - wish they distributed to CA!

Wow, totally disagree. It's way more juicy sweet than dry and bitter.

Sorry fellas will have to agree to disagree on the Heady/Pliny, they are both overrated. But Jolly Ollie I guess I would say would be much more west coast-y than Jai Alai. You def get more malty character from the Jai Alai. Either way it's a pretty good beer.

to each their own, I personally do not believe that Jai Alai is over Pliny, however IMO White Oak Aged Jai Alai is my favorite IPA i've had even over Pliny, and I LOVED Pliny. Can't speak to Heady yet since I haven't tried.

I found a lonely bottle tonight hanging out amongst the Stone bombers at ABC. Scoured the shelves for more - nada. Jai Alai is my go-to these days, so Ollie will be a special treat for sure.
