There's no review entry for this so I was wondering if anyone else here has tried it? I'm not usually given to parting with my money for Mikkeller beer, but Cigar City seem to know what they're doing and the bottle was relatively cheap for its ilk ($12). Anyway, it's outrageously, horrendously sweet, and I'm looking for reinforcement of my opinion from others as I haven't much of spine and my existence is a perpetual cycle of self-loathing and sadness.

Was this the Cigar City version? Because the Mikkeller version I saw was $27.99.

Was that 27$ for a bomber or 12 oz? Mikkeller stuff is good but so over-priced many times.

Yeah, I gather it was supposed to cost that much, but the webstore I bought it from over here (I'm in the UK) initially put it up for only £7.99, which is about $12. They've subsequently raised the price to one much nearer the $27.99 you quoted. I guess what I paid was a mistake, and yet I still feel ripped-off.
    Awful beer.

Mikkeller is the most over-rated purely-hype brand I've tasted. I don't like these brands that don't even brew their own beer.

Mikkeller does brew their own beer, just on other people's equipment. They're know as a "gypsy brewery".

Saw this at a local shop yesterday... I'd try it for $12, but thankfully I won't have to now that retail price on these is over $25!

    It'll still sell out, though.

Jesus, two breweries who need to learn the concept of "pilot batches" brewing together. Probability of disaster, near 100%.

For what it's worth, I've heard absolutely no promotion about this beer from CCB.

I pretty much run the other way whenever I see mikkeller on anything. Incredibly expensive and more often than not below average beer.

Seen a few bottles of this floating around various local shops lately - based on the name and the label artwork, I'm presuming they chose to name this beer, aptly enough, after the old Atari game "Pitfall." (See, they even warn you on the label what you're getting into!)
