Closest beer to Heady Topper

    Melcher St is my favorite beer in existence. I haven't had a Heady in over a year so the actual comparison is tough.

    I love HT it's my go to Beach Week beer, but I'd have to admit if I could get a case of Abrasive affordable I might bring that.

    Heady Topper didn't do much for me. Very good bier, but didn't blow me away. It's like a Cuban cigar. Hard to come by, but nothing special in the end. Plenty of other just as good biers out there as HT (and cigars better than Cubans).

    This. Very similar in profile and complexity, little higher bitterness and not quite as soft around the edges. Did this blind a while back and everyone in the group picked 077XX. Pretty interesting.

    077xx is a great beer, wish I could get thst as well.

    Btw to those jonesing for Abrasive, France 44 now has it in stock if your in a ship to state.
