Not to add to the mania for 3Floyds, but looks like just put out another special release today. Here is their facebook message:

What better way to celebrate the day after a holiday than heading into the Brewpub for another special release Tuesday. Cognac aged Moloko has just been released in 750mL bottles. $35 per bottle with a limit of 1 per person.

    ready, set, go.

What does regular moloku go for normally? Had it once before and paid $19 or so, but the inflated price due to DC prices and it being outside normal distro. This seems as overpriced as battle priest.

$8 for regular Moloko per 22oz bomber.

I don't really get all the bitching about FFF prices (generally, not just to you). other than BA releases, bombers run about 8 to 15 and anything in 6 packs are $35 a case.

Oh I know. Ive gotten quite a few bombers (a few as extras), which freaked me out at first. Then I looked into the prices, and realized why (well besides Behemoth).

If I were to bitch...it's that I can get an entire case of Zombie Dust, one of the best pale ales on the face of God's green fucking earth, for $35...but it costs the same price for a 22 oz. bomber of Cognac Barrel Aged Moloko. I'd rather buy the Zombie Dust, assuming it's in stock, and they let me buy a case after I get a case of Gumballhead and something else...since you know...you can only buy two cases of beer period when you go there. Buy hey, this seems to be a turn more than a few brewers appear to be taking.

Think I'll just wait for Williamsburg Alewerks' Cafe Royale to come out, and just pick up 4 bottles.

I think the main complaint is about FFF prices at retail. $8-15 is brewpub prices but I don't think I've ever seen a FFF bomber at less than $9.99 and I've seen many marked up by around $5 per bomber above brewpub prices. 12oz bottles are reasonable at $35/case but again, at retail they're significantly more when they are in stock.

That could be it. I know that doing when I do $4$ trades, it's always like "Okay, there go 2 Dreadnaughts and 3 ZD for 1 $20 Lost Abbey, Bruery, FW, etc" (Brewery names are illustrative so just chill)

Saw this on a shelf in Chicago for $40....held it for a minute, put it back....5 regular Moloko's just made more sense financially.

Seems like an odd thing to smuggle to your shop to sell on the shelf for only a $5 markup

Thought the same thing....another had the misspelled Cabra for $45...at least they get their gas money and a $3 profit!
