Looking forward to this one, hopefully not too limited like the last few.

tried this out of a bottle. super spicy. no my thing and i've heard a few people say it's a pretty sub-par single batch from them? what does everyone else think?

Needed more body (like a quad) to balance the spice. They should have just done a Bernardus Christmas clone.

Had another one tonight. Felt I was about right the first time. Nice for an Australian brewer to actually attempt this style in the first place imo. Taieri George is not all that different but it's from NZ.

    I think tis pretty good,
maybe a bit on the thin side,
but considering how prominent the spices are, I dont find it over spiced.

Yeah. Turns out there's no beer under all that cinnamon and nutmeg.

I really like it, and am glad it's not overburdened with a meatier malt presence. The spice profile is obvious, but for my tastes, in balance with the beer as a whole.

very odd to note, that with this batch and the last one, they are really polarising the crowd. Some love, some hate.
Could do with a few more reviews tho to get a better idea of exactly what is not meeting expectations

I'm aging a couple of bottles, more of an experiment than anything
