We all have this problem and I've yet to find a thread pertaining to it. While it's been cold it hasn't been a problem. However with the warm months coming up, I'm not exactly sure what to do with all my delicious beer!

I'm curious how other people with apartments that don't really have a good place to cellar have coped or fashioned a good place to cellar their beers.

Many store in a closet, I would suggest a cooler, wine fridge, something along those lines.

My old apartment used to reach mid 80s-90s in the summer. The beer I had "cellared" there has been fine as I've been opening them. You should be ok.

I'd get a beer minifridge. Even without a temperature control, I think you should be just fine leaving it on the lowest setting and stashing the beer in it. Even if you turn it off intermittently to save on electricity, its still an insulated storage vessel.

Insulate your bottles as best you can in order to slow the temperature changes. Also get your beers in the coldest, darkest part of your appartment. A lot of folks are of the belief that as long as temp shifts aren't drastic, your beer should be safe.

Otherwise, I'm with everyone else: get a fridge w/ temp controller if you really want to keep conditions constant.

Do you mind answering - What are some of the beers that you had cellared at those temps that have turned out fine and how long were they cellared?

So far it's been a Victory Storm King, DFG Burton Baton and Founders Curmudgeon. All were had at 1 year.
