Why is it completely worthless? I definitely see plenty of 'worth' in calling attention to douchebaggery.

Damn, it went to 100% savings. Who was math? How do you algebra? If their prices are not in sync with the rest of the world, I would assume they're just mashing buttons on a calculator rather than that they're greedy.

If anyone wants to buy one of his 3 Liters, just head over to xxxxxxx and look up the user Beerfan. He's selling a 3 Liter T25 for almost $1400. I saw some people light him up on instagram for this. Quite a few people know it's him just from the wording, not to mention his brother that works with him, spilled the beans that he's been selling them. I think Vinnie hooks him up with tons of em too. There's lots of shady shit going on there from the way it sounds. I think he was selling Beatification for $50-60 a bottle too. I know that 3 Floyds and New Glarus have both been contacted recently about his selling of their product for inflated prices on his shelves. $40 for Raspberry Tart. I know New Glarus frowns heavily upon that practice. These guys are also the reason Cascade stopped shipping because they were buying bottles online using a bunch of different credit cards, and then selling them in the store. To everyone defending the fact that they are "nice guys"...they very well may be, but if I was putting the screws to everyone and every brewery because I wanted to be a baller, I would sure as hell be nice too.

I know people that have screenshots. He's been reported to Russian River at least three times in the past 24 hours. I heard Toppling Goliath was also notified that he was selling PseudoSue bombers on his shelves for ridiculous prices. If I remember, it was something like $25-$30.

    I ordered from @ThatOneGuyMoe a few times.

The last time (probably ever) I ordered some almanac sours. I did the math and after the bottle price, shipping, and service charge it came out to a price that I thought was fair so I pulled the trigger.

The box arrived with only 2 of each variant. This was a fraction of what I originally ordered. I investigated and realized that I was only charged for what I received. When you factor in the shipping and service charge it ended up being way more per bottle than I would have ever paid for these beers.

I emailed Moe and told him what happened. He said that those bottles had limits of two (they didnt when I ordered, obviously). He said that he would make it right/take care of me on my next order. I got the feeling that he didnt really understand what I was saying.

Anyways, he never responded to my emails when I was ready to order again...so...i'm done.

This was the second time he screwed me.

I really admired CBK and Moe for their valiant effort in making the local craft beer scene what it is today. However, this thread really makes me want to turn my admiration into disdain. I know now that my neck beard will never be as full as theirs. I turned a blind eye when Moe and the CBK thugs cut in line at the sweet berry wine release. No one stands in the way of me and my sweet berry wine.

Few things bother me as much as the beer guy at a liquor store that acts with really heightened self-importance because he makes you jump through hoops to get at a beer. I'm going to change my normal mode of politeness to telling these people off

From Istasham aka Instagram Moe and Alissa_cascade ( Cascade brewing's shipping manager and Daughter of the owner, I believe) are BFF's, doubt "Moe" is the reason they stopped shipping.

I'm really conflicted on this one. I am totally against muleing but at the same time it is next to impossible to police and I'm not sure these breweries specifically outlaw it. I'm also totally against purchasing beer at a brewery and then selling it at a later date, especially at an increased price. As far as I know this violates one or more TTB regs and if he is actually doing this I imagine he would lose his business licence pretty quickly. There is enough demand for these beers locally and he is not facilitating much that helps the community by taking these beers out of the hands of the people at the end of the line who miss out. In the worst case scenario these people at the end of the line end up paying extra money to him rather than russian river to get the beer.

However, I almost appreciate how much energy he is throwing at this craft beer "kingdom" he is building. At the end of the day it is a free country and he is allowed to do whatever he wants as long as he is willing to face the consequences. There are much, much easier ways to make the sums of money he is likely making in other industries where his tactics would be the norm rather than make him the subject of as much hatred as can be found in this thread. He would get much more respect in this industry if he channeled all of his love for craft beer (which he undeniably seems to have) into actually making beer and building a brewery rather than facilitating beer transactions to the wealthy but lazy subset of people who appreciate beer, but maybe he doesn't care.

It's an intresting issue to think through. While it is completely fair to judge aggressive practices from business owners and to avoid their business and even get the word out, none of us should be surprised. I think this should be expected in fact as there is a broad spectrum of human behavior. When a product is in demand and supply is short these things will happen. Some people dont care how they're viewed and if they're able to get the beer the want, or make money on it, they've reached their goal and don't care what we think. They're the types that only feel a hit to their bottom-line so I make it a point to not frequent shops that really get under my skin.

Some of the cause for this has to be placed at the feet of the brewers however. When setting up a brewery, the goal probably is for everyone to make stand-out beer, which by definition will have high demand. So they should be set up with scalability in mind, at least space-wise, increases in production should be able to be completed if there is a pattern of demand for their beers. If they don't, they're missing out on significant profits which is usually most of the reason they got into the business. I think very few are doing it for the love of beer alone. Many brewers are probably unable to scale up and don't care to maximize their profit very much and I understand them completely if they're happy with what they have. Some do scale up and have grown immensely. Now we're even seeing the Alpines of the world do it now, hich is wise. Just keep that quality up.

I've never ordered from cbk, I've never traded with Moe, I've never met or dealt with Moe outside of social media. I merely praised someone for gifting bottles in the trade forum like I would for anyone else. A whole lot of butt hurt in this thread (maybe some deserving) but you don't know me, please keep your accusations to yourself.

The question becomes would he have done it otherwise? My guess is no.

Bought before at CBK but never went back again due to the high prices. I remember they had a Lost Abbey Sede Vacante and I was fairly new to craft at that point but was interested and they first told me it was $100 and then after I picked up several other bottles they told me they would drop it down to $80 if I really wanted it and they insisted it was a steal so I actually bought it. I remember dropping over $300 on less than 10 bottles and that's the last time I bought anything from CBK.

Let's get things clear. I never sold nor will I ever will sell my 3 liters. I still have every single one I've obtained from trading partners and Friends in nor cal. I thought it would of been a nice gesture to give away few sours since I always see people trying to trade for them. And I'm not the only one who has 3 liters there are a bunch of others who have more than I do. My 3 liters are cracked at special events and or bottle shares with close friends. Not on some website for sale. I actually bought the t25 from a friends. It was a long time want of mines. Again I don't see what's wrong with hooking up someone with a few good sours.

I don't sell beer. I just give RR away. Thank you for bringing all these concerns to my attention and I want to remind you that I give RR away sometimes when people call my bullshit out.
