Anyone know if the L'Brett Grand Cru is one of the TBD speciality beers or the initial list has changed a bit? The "fruit sour" Dark Origins is probably the Blackberry that is being released I'm guessing.

    Initial list:

    Raspberry Origins
    Cherry Bretta
    Dark Origins – Fruit Sour
    Petite Sour – Blueberry
    Passion Fruit L’Brett d’Or
    Dry-Hopped L’Brett d’Or
    Apricot L’Brett d’Or
Nightmare on Brett – Port/Sherry Barrel
    TBD Specialty*
    TBD Specialty*

    First 4 released:

    L'Brett d'Cherry
    L'Brett Grand Cru
    Raspberry Origins
    Blackberry Dark Origins

    From the L'Brett GC page:
*This beer is part of the Cellar Reserve Membership beers and is being offered as extra allocations to all the members.
L'Brett Grand Cru- This is a blend of our favorite golden sour barrels that were held back exclusively for the 2014 Cellar Reserve.

No issues or errors now. Time to try and plan a trip to CO in June

Any trustees out there have suggestions for good shippers for these bottles? Haven't dealt with shipping exclusive 375ml bottles before and don't want to deal with the added size of a bomber shipper.

I've used the 24-375mL bottle shippers from Naylor Wine Packaging for all my trustees. They've held up very well

Random question for you Cellar Reserve vets. I'm splitting a membership with a friend but the account is in my name. If he goes online and orders extras, can i pick them up for him even though he ordered with his name/credit card?

No. Only members can buy. He will forfeit any money he spent on anything he ordered.

Contact the brewery and let them know you split. Likely they can make a note for when you go to pick up.

I don't really see how this would help all aspects of KevinLA's concern.

They've made ever indication that they are incredibly judicious about who orders from the members only pre-sales. And it's very clear that if you're not a member than they are well within their rights to just accept the "donation".

Nick and Crooked Stave has been incredibly helpful with a few customer service issues I've run into, so they probably would help if the "mistake" was already made, but if you're the person whose name the membership is under, then you should, without a doubt, do 100% of the purchasing.

Your account, your credit card etc... It just makes it easier for everyone involved.

Thanks for the info! I guess having him paypal me the funds would be the easiest way.

This has happened before, but I want to make sure everything is kosher. My card charge for the order disappeared today. This happened when I paid the membership and didn't show up for several weeks.

And to be completely sure, I checked I didn't over order; I ordered 1 cherry and 8 grand cru, which is what the limits are.

This isn't what Crooked Stave told me when I emailed them about this.

I also share a membership with another individual. When asked how to purchase allocations, Nick stated that I should create a login and order what I want, but note on the order that I share a membership with my friend. As long as you and your friend's order together doesn't go above the allocation limit, it'll go through.

Same thing happened to me - my card showed a pending charge for a few days and now it's disappeared. Do you know if we need to do anything?

I emailed them last Wed, and they responded that all is good and they processed it that day. Then about Friday, it showed up on my card as a completed transaction.

They just have a weird billing system, I guess.
