Got this email a few minutes ago. Sounds like a good time at either location. Looking forward to it and will probably buy an extra bottle or two.

    Greetings Cellar Reserve Members,
We are finally ready to announce the first release of this 2012 year! Blackberry Petite Sour has been bottled and is currently conditioning. For the first release we will be distributing the allocations of Blackberry Petite Sour, the dual bottle totes and the member shirts. Unfortunately the glasses are still on order and should be in for the second release.

As we do not have a taproom (or a brewery location) in Denver yet, we have decided to do two event releases. The first will be on Saturday March 24th in Denver at Falling Rock Taphouse (located at 1919 Blake St. Denver, CO. 80202) from 11 a.m. till 3 p.m. and the second will be the next day on Sunday March 25th in Boulder at Cured (located at 1825 Pearl St. Boulder, CO. 80302) from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. If you cannot make it for either of the releases, don’t worry we will hold your bottles till the next release. More specifics in a follow up email soon.. but the idea is to come join us for a good time at two great places, pick up the first of what is sure to be a great year in Cellar Reserve releases and grab some beers at the bar, or in the case of Cured check out the fine selection of meats and cheeses and all they have to offer while enjoying your day along beautiful Pearl street in Boulder.

Batch details… Blackberry Petite Sour was bottled March 2nd with a total run of 60 cases or 720 bottles… don’t mind the 857 on the side of the bottle.. it’s wrong! We will hold back some cases for future events with all remaining bottles now available for purchase by members only. While some releases (including this one are not member exclusives) and could see distribution, Blackberry Petite Sour will not be available at any retail stores. Instead a few kegs will make there way to a few bars/restaurants and any cases remaining after Cellar Reserve Member sales will be saved for our future taproom, with some cases being sold to restaurants and bars where we know no one will be able to take a bottle home with them.

For members wishing to purchase extra allotments the bottles are for sale on our website at http://www.store.crookedstave.com/Blackberry-Petite-Sour-CR2012BPS.htm. While the release is viewable by the general public and anyone stumbling onto the site, any purchases not made by members will be rejected with no possibility of picking up bottles without being on the membership list. Blackberry Petite Sour would normally retail in our taproom for $18.00 a bottle. As stated earlier due to not having a taproom and giving members the chance to take advantage of discounts in the taproom this and all future releases will be available to members at ±20% off.
*NO SALES WILL BE AVAILABLE THE DAY OF THE RELEASES.

Please inform your trustees about the release dates, as they will not be receiving this email.

Please remember to bring a valid drivers license and your membership card to pick up your allocation, if you have not received your membership card bring your valid ID and we will get you a card at the release. As always, please email us at [email protected] if you have any questions.

    Cheers,
    Crooked Stave

Hell yes! Love this play but a little surprised the Boulder release isn't at Back Country or another drinking establishment. Cured is delicious though

Very excited for the first release.

Does anyone know if the Pure Guava petite sour is still available at any shops in Denver?
Chad, you holding onto any bottles that a Cellar Reserve member could purchase?

Pure Guava should all be bought up in stores. A while back he told me he was going to be hanging onto some cases of his already released beers for the taproom once it is open, but I don't know for sure if he did.

Thanks, I figured that was the case.

I was hoping so, we will find out I guess.

If anybody has an extra they'd like to trade, send me a message. I'm in the Bruery Reserve Society if that helps. I'm local to CO, so in-person is fine.

To clarify, I'd like to track down the upcoming blackberry as well as other releases in the future. I'm good on the guava. Drop me a line if you'd be interested in working something out. Thanks!

I am also ISO this and other Crooked Stave beers. I'm in the Chicago area and have a good deal to trade. I was going to do an ISO on Monday, but if I can get it taken care of here, that would be great.

Pure Guava is awesome if you let it age. I opened it when it first came out and it was horrible. I had a bottle last weekend and it was great. Amazing what some time will do.
